Awww.....thats nice.

But I'm not allowed to buy, or trade anything on the boards. You know....parents. I did tell them everyone here was trust worthy, and not out to rape me. But hey....:D

WHAT?!?!

You're 17 and they still have you pretty tightly. Just sayin is that I find it kinda odd, but hey they care about you.

Well....I mean, its not a horrible thing....i've heard some pretty awful stories.

And its the internet.....there be some weirdies running about.

Honestly, you'd be better off getting the MUCH cheaper/better sculpted SEGA version.

It's a fantastic Alien piece for the price.
like i said earlier, the only one on ebay is $94. that's more like KINDA cheaper.
i'd sure like to have one, but they're not worth that to me by a long shot.

I was crazy about this thing at 1st, but now.....meh.
I'll have to pass.

NECA has my vote.

Thanks for the review and the pix Barlow. They where helpful.

Yes, as I feared, the articulation... The Medicom Alien is not perfect, but it a very nice figure still... And overpriced, again!

I don't think the flash in those photos is doing it any favours. In build terms I think it's very nice indeed, and reminds me of a more accurate and "grown up" Kenner Alien.

Overpriced is an understatement.
I'm an alien fan, and I'm getting this regardless of crap paint apps and midget size.

But...

It is ridiculously overpriced. There is no way around that.
And I'm sure I'm going to enjoy the figure once I have it in hand, but it is quite disappointing to see how basic (to put it mildly) the paint apps are.
I wonder why they did them that way, I mean if a 14 dollar figure can have simple but great paint apps, it boggles the mind that these "high-end" figures are so crappily done.

Thanks for the confidence!
:dance

Once in-hand I'll try to make as thorough a review as possible.
Unfortunately, I think it'll be next year before I get it...

That's ok, should still be in time to cancel with Sideshow should that be my choice.

As for the opinion, I trust you to give it straight. You're a fan, so your opinion will cover it from that angle, but you're not blinded by it either. You'll be critical and give a fair opinion as to how much it's personal owning value measures up to the monetary cost it takes to get it.

I'm not against spending this much on a figure, but I like to feel confiden in my joy of having it in my hands, and so far, could go either way, nothing's available to truly sway me yay or nay.

I'm still looking forward to this figure. But after seeing the pics I will be extra careful w/it. This will be my 2nd Medicom fig (maybe a 3rd pending :naughty)and I don't want to damage it just because I want a certain pose. I will think before I pose....:lol

I certainly think there are going to be some incredible repaints.

I'm so torn on this figure. Yeah it's pretty basic in execution, but with the source material and the production method, I'm not sure how much more can be done really, but yet it's also quite a bit of money.

You know, I wouldn't be surprised if this one goes out on clearance for 99 bucks some time from now. Also, if HT make a decent one, this will start popping up on ebay loose.

EDIT: New pics up at the OSW:

Looking very nice.
I find the info on the suit most interesting, I wonder what material they used.
