Wow....I really dont like this figure at all.

The last pic, the one next to the medi...what is it? Its face is better looking.

That's a statue, I don't remember the company, japanese though. It is very nice and I've often been tempted to get one. It was pretty cheap, too. There's also a metal version that goes for 300 bucks or something.

Well, I can tell you this...if it's the same size as the SEGA (and it looks like it is from the pic), it's only going to be 12 inches tall. No doubt about that.

Has anybody who has this figre already, posed it next to any of the Hot Toys stuff to see if it's big enough to display along side, or is it actually 12" like everybody feared and not really worth getting?

I thought this was an interesting "note" by HLJ. Hadn't seen it before.

Note: Please note that the photos shown are of a prototype; the production version may vary slightly. Also, figures such as this are mass produced, and as a result some inconsistencies in finish and painting may occur; these are not considered manufacturer's defects. If you absolutely must have perfection, prepare to do some touch-up work on your own.

I think it looks awesome, but I'm not enough of a collector to care about scale. It's not perfect (I'd like a bit more detail at the jaw), but it looks like "my" Alien if you know what I mean. It looks the most like my memory of it from the film in other words.

Maybe I'm getting old...:monkey1 But the Alien's jaw/mouth looks like that publicity photo of Ripley puckering up a kiss w/the Alien. I remember seeing that pic on the Alien dvd. And it seems the mouth doesn't close complete either. Am I complaining already? :slap

Always read the fine print disclaimer in small lettering.:lol But I could be wrong...:monkey4. Got my email confirm but no tracking # yet. I don't think I will receive it by X-mas maybe the week of the New Year.

Hey CP, here's a link to the metal version of the Sega kit, kinda pricey, but at 50% off I suppose it's a steal...

And a couple of pics I had in my HD:

I love the shape of the face.

might as well get the metal statue. the vinyl version can cost almost as much, if you can even find one.

The metal version was actually produced by X-Plus and is heavy as FOOK!
The detail, since it was cast in metal, is a bit softer than the SEGA version.

Here's pics of my metal X-Plus and the brown version of the vinyl SEGA Alien.

Dear friends...
I received the RAH ALIEN today and wanted to post some pictures it. Unfortunately the nature of the toy doesn't have a lot of articulation, and only looks good in certain poses, (Like standing) but the detail is on of the most accurate of any toy ever produced of Giger's Alien. The entire doll is dressed in a rubber suit,(Even the feet) but the upper torso is made from hard plastic. The tail Has a bendable wire in it, and in the one that I have the wire does not extend all the end of the tail. The mouth for some reason is something that nobody can ever get right. The teeth are too small, grey, and the second set of teeth hardly come out of the mouth (In fact you have to pull them out with a pair of tweezers) and the jaws do not completely close, but is does look O.K. from a distance. The shape and proportions of the monster are correct, and even the transparent cranium looks rather nice. The hands also are accurate, but only move at the wrist, the hands are also hard plastic, all the fingers are frozen in to one position.
