This is true. Im perfectly happy with medicom bodies, I don't mangle my figures so there's no need for me to worry about it.

Dr Brad if it's such an issue for you then Sideshow is your best option.

I am glad that you are perfectly happy with medicom bodies. And just to let you know...I don't mangle my figures either. I am sorry that you can't handle people's opinions. I have heard from other sites including mediworld about breaking/repairing medicom bodies. It's a fact, they are more fragile. Medicom figures are not made to be posed around with. I own many Medicom figures have been collecting them since 1997. If I had that huge of an issue with them, I wouldn't collect them.

Cheers,

Brad

Anybody have their fingers crossed that tonight's newsletter will announce the Jango PPO for next Friday?

The thing with the medicom figures is the design for the articulation is different than most 1/6 figures. Since most of the character are fully covered, people are not exactly sure how to turn the hips and shoulders. Also to what degree the can be turned. Over time the stress put on the joints can make them break. That and the hips and shoulders have one key point that can be easily broke if care is not taken. My two cents.

Non of my 1/6 figures from either manufacturer have broken before. But, then again, they are all safe and sound in their little cardboard prisons... :D I have to say though, that compared to the SSC figures, some of the Medicom figures "feel" more fragile, once you hold them in hand.

You've never opened them and posed them? :monkey2
That's just sad...

Yes, people keep telling me this. In a way I agree, and the anxiety to put them on display grows daily! But, I'm waiting to get one (or several) cabinets of my taste. Since cabinets can be pretty pricy, I rather get something I really want, make the right decision. Haven't found anything to my taste yet. Besides, I don't have much room here. But stacking the boxes is not really helping the room issue either.

One day... ohhhh!

That all glass display cabinet from Ikea is really nice. Cheaper than most Medicom figures too ;).

Yep, the first figure in the series was Will Smith's character and the likeness sucked, then they made loads of alien figures and people were saying it was cos they couldn't do human likenesses, but then they released Tommy Lee Jones character and the likeness blew everyone away. You've never heard of the line?:lol

I probably did, then I got neuralyzed and was told to spend insane ammounts of money on Star Wars collecting :)

Things will break reguardless of price.

But those Hasblo HOF figures are indestructable.

At least we can both agree on that. Same goes with you.

This will be my first directly ordered Medi Star Wars figure. I will gladly pay the $170 bucks for Jango

I can't wait to get this from Sideshow either, but I don't understand with all the pictures of it already out there why not just show the thing completely?
