You probably caught what I did, I don't remember the source but I'm 99% sure I read that Hasbro would be utilizing GG's scanning, but none of their products ever reflected that, so unless they loosely used those scans, maybe plans changed. Either way, with a little rougher detailing to the faces and hair, and cast in resin, the Jango and Dooku heads could hold up against anything in the high end 1/6 world.

I think what they said ended up happening is that Hasbro used the 3-d scans for the sculptors to use as reference. They didn't make anything directly from the scans themselves.

Ahh, that would make sense, but leaves one to wonder, why didn't they just use such awesome scans.

The more I look at it, the only thing I don't like about the medi is the skin coloration.I realy think that is all that is hurting it.

Pic from medi world looks great.

Call me shocked and impressed, they actually included his blades for his wrist guard, wonder if they were generous enough to inlude wire for his wrist.

Nice a product as Medi makes, they don't go too far with accessories, which is ok, but I love having options, and the rope would do great for a display with an AOTC Obi-Wan one day.

Yeah unless it's the comic figures like spiderman which comes with a buttload of hands, extra head, and webbing.(but not so much with the SW line)I'm fine with it though

Well between Hasbro and Sideshow, I'm used to getting most, if not all, the relevant accessories for a figure, but with some Medi figures I've gotten, non-Star Wars, the accessories have been light. I'm not sure, but I think the Clonetroopers have only the small rifle and not the one that's almost full body length, which would be nice too. Jango's looking good though, can't wait to have his shiny badassness to photograph.

I don't know...while I think the figure as a whole is much better than the hasbro, I think the Hasbro head sculpt is closer. Both require a new paint job, but I think a repainted Hasbro is going to look more like Jango than the Medicom. My own opinion of course, and still not trying to take anything away from the Medi version, I can't wait to own him!

YOU WISH!
I added the blades from my extra pair of Hasbro Jango guantlets:eek:

Looks great... Now the dilemma is whether to pose Mace sans robe with the Medi Jango a la Geonosis or once Palpatine is shipped to pose stumpy Mace with Pals and Anakin---- but it's nice having these types of posing conundrums.:D

Some great SW products on the way!

Awesome pics Scarlet.

It is the Hasbro Dooku head and no, it was not painted.

Yeah, It was fun and rather simple to custom the Hasbro Dooku.
All the best !
