Ok first off, my thoughts. Number one issue with this figure, and Medicom as a whole, is the single axis wrist joint they use on the majority of their figures. Boba suffered from it but I find Jango does more so. Having the other axis that Sideshow and Hot Toys offer with figures would allow for even more poseability and would make some poses more realistic. It's a shame that one of the better base bodies has to suffer from poor wrist articulation, and it's even more frustrating when Medicom has developed a 2 axis wrist. Moving along, I find that of the 2, I'm more impressed with Boba's overall construction than Jango's. I'm guessing because Jango has a full face, that's part of what makes his helmet look like it's coming more forward off the shoulders, it's ok, but I prefer the way Boba's helmet sits more and I think if they'd done the helmet the same as Boba and had the Morrison portrait as a second head, would have given the best of both, plus then they could have sculpted blue undercloth to the Jango head like on Boba and you wouldn't see so much flesh in certain poses and from some angles. Another issue I have with Medicom as a whole is the use of plastic for belts and such, not so much for the look, though I'm not impressed with it, but more so the face that it's rigid and limiting. More poses would be possible with the thighs if the straps were leather or something that had a little give to it. To me the armor was more correctly placed on Boba than Jango for the torso plates. I find it a bit sad that they built Jango's collar plate so low down on the vest instead of truly hugging his collar and covering his shoulders more. My final issue with him, is something shared by others for sure, but with a different perspective on it, and that's his arm hoses falling out. I've heard people say that they're too short, but on the right arm, I find them to be just fine like on Boba, BUT on the left arm, the sleeve covering is actually a significant ammount shorter than on the right side which is both innaccurrate to the costume and hurts the hose functionality.
All that said, I'm still happy with him, and it's a nice addition to any Star Wars collection, but it's not without its flaws.
First image, a side by side of Hasbro and Medicom. I find from the eyes up, the Medicom sculpt is quite impressive but from the eyes down, really loses likeness. All in all, I see Temura/Jango more in the Hasbro sculpt.
