Is there a point to posting that comparison? I don't think anyone debates the helmet sculpting quality, it's human portraits that's in debate.

However, this image points out my biggest issue with Medi Fett.

They botched the jumpsuit color big time, it's way to blue on the figure. The film suit was more purplish/greyish blue than what they went with.

The shin guards are liveable for me since I'm coming off the Hasbro figure where the shin armor was the worst done element, Medicom's a great relief to see them lay on the legs properly. I think their location is ok, just maybe too long of pant legs, but that's a figure thing I think to allow for posing him but not exposing the joints of the foot in more extreme poses. Sometimes license needs to be taken to make the figure work. Medicom's Wolverine is nice but they didn't accomodate for the outfit out of some poses and certain, character specific poses expose the torso because the pants and shirt don't cover far enough. Better to have extra and hide the body then less and expose it most of the time.

I agree with you MF, but what if this was a case of LFL saying that the true color is blank and Medicom had to change it.

Well if that be the case, then LFL's guys that call those shots are a buncha pricks with their heads up their ass because instances where Sideshow's confirmed LFL input have been for the worst. However in this instance, I'd wager it's Medicom falling short, since their SM3 Spidey also didn't have the right shades to it. I think they do too much anime stuff and don't have a strong sense for more realistic things.

LoL, I think that just might be the case MF. You can thank people like Jim Ward and Howard Roffman and their teams for stuff like that. Decisions made by people who don't know what a Lando is from a Landcruiser.

i think the Medicom may need a little fattening up (Jango seems to like the gravy dipped sandwiches)... is there room in the figure's suit for some extra bulk?

I agree he is a little on the skinny side.

I stuffed cotton under his armor shirt thing and It gave him extra bulk with plenty of room to spare.

Got my jango from the bay. Managed to find a good buy it now with shipping that kept the total under 150. This is my first medi sw fig, and while i still don't agree with their pricepoints or the size he is an exceptional figure and after crawfs review i had to have him.

No i don't have boba but i am a big fan of jango and when it comes to boba i prefer his ROTJ look anyway so the medi didnt work for me.

I took one pic for now:

I am curious though for those who have him. Did you leave the foam in his helmet when putting it on his head? I found the helmet REALLY tight and i was worried it wasn't fitting right and then it wouldnt go down far enough his chin kept wanting to stick out a bit, i ended up taking the little piece of foam out and now the helmet goes down further and looks right. Just seems wierd. The helmet doesnt seem to fit as right as i think it should, i half wonder if i got one thats messed up somehow. It looks fine just doesnt seem to fit quite right.

Otherwise he's fantastic, the price is still too much, even for the awesome details, the fact he costs so much and is so small still bugs me. I'd hope with more direct competition from a company like hot toys as far as licensed movie products go, that medi may actually get smart finally and step up their body scale to proper 1/6 instead of this slightly smaller stuff. Though i can live with jango being short, it still bugs me, and makes exceptional figures like their vader something i wont buy.

Hey Magnuz, nice to see some images from ya again. As for your Jango, you didn't get a dud, the helmet doesn't sit as well on his head as Boba's does. Because of the mold of the Fett helmet and Jango's face having unique nose and features, it keeps the helmet from resting on the head correctly, it still looks ok, but when you have the Boba, you notice the difference. With Boba they just glued in a generic, featureless face. They should have done that with Jango, since you can easily swap heads, and had the Morrison portrait as a second head.

Makes sense, i feel better then. And like i said i can get the helmet on him and have it look right even if the head underneath isn't sitting in it perfectly, with the neck articulation the helmet moves fine on the head and he still looks great.

I do really love this figure though i need to drag out my hasbro ultimate fett and really compare the two, he was my favorite figure of jango for a long time but now he's got a replacement.

I think you'll find Hasbro's portrait feels more like the actor, but overall, the Medi piece is fantastic, but for a few small issues, which every figure is subject to.
