they're toys. made of plastic, and the have accessories. could the have more? sure. still like it.
personaly, i'm using the hasbro kamino jetpack on mine.

I end up having to agree that the Hasbro sculpt actually does look a little more "Temura Morrison-ish". But the sculpt overall on the medicom is much better. It is more in scale, better-detailed, and better-painted.

That's actually sort of the tragedy of it, if the head had been done mediocre, likeness wouldn't have been much and issue either, but they've executed quite well on the head, they just didn't capture the right look with it so it's like tripping before you cross the finish line in a race.

The sculpt looks great!

I think if your looking for something to better Medicom's figure's,your going to have to wait till the next generation or maybe next licience if your that lucky. That Hasblo sculpt does'nt look half as good as Medi's.And if your really comparing hasbro to Medicom then the world really is going to end.:lol:monkey3

It's a very nice sculpt, but Temurra Morrison it is not. Generic male it is. They did well in the eyes but the mouth, jawline and nose are quite off. Enjoy Medicom, I do too, but they're the worst of the big 3 for human portraits when there is a likeness to capture (ie Hammil, Morrison, Shaw). They've had a few success pieces like Wolverine, but overall, they're just not there yet, and considering how I feel about Jango in hand vs. the first preview image of him, I'll be curious as to how good or not Maul turns out. Armor and helmets they can do very well, but their human portraits have a bit to go before offering the quality people would expect out of high end figures.

SS sculpts are usually pretty much dead on. So you can zing that someplace special. :)

SST sculpts are often "dead on" (if you are referring to the embalmed look they often have).

HT&Medicom > SS 1/6

End of ****ing story

Depends on your POV I guess.

Honestly, I wasn't blown away by my HT POTC figures. They're great but they're not anything that just made me go OMG this is the best thing ever.So I don't see them being that much better other than they cost more and should probably be a touch more detailed. Same goes with Medicom.

For my $ I don't think you can beat what SS gives ya.

Josh I usually agree with ya, but I'd say right now HT is pulling slightly ahead of Sideshow. HT's finally (in the last 6 months or so) catching up to Sideshow in realistic paint apps on their human portraits, where Medicom still seems a bit Hasbroish, but Hot Toys are also working in texture to their portraits which adds just a bit more realism than paint will give you. Again, it's a small advance but a helpful one in adding realism to these portraits.

Well, maybe as I get more HT figures I'll agree but right now they're 50% on what I expect at the money they cost. When I'm paying $100+ on a 12" I expect as close to perfection as you can get. The costumes on both are great but if when Jack looks African American more so than a really tan white guy somethings not right.
