If Kaneda can have his bike, then Tetsuo should get something at least. I understand that releasing a bike for this Tetsuo figure makes no sense, but if it isn't that, then a throne diorama would be great. I'd buy it separately if need be.

As nice as the Tetsuo figure is (as is), I think it could come with more. I mean, the Kaneda figure is decked out with everything he needs for his final showdown look when he fights Tetsuo in the Olympic Stadium -- He comes with the laser rifle and you can buy his bike. Tetsuo doesn't have what he needs for that sequence. Some extra fleshy transformation arm parts would have been great and a separately purchased throne would be awesome.

But this is Medicom we're talking about. I guess I should be happy it even comes with an extra head sculpt.

That's the crappy part. We know it and Medicom knows it. We expect it to be bare bones and Medicom does nothing to change our perceptions. We can all go on and on about how HT for their price provides so much, while Medicom's price you think you'd get a whole lot more etc. But I agree at least a regular arm or some mutated parts or even the Akira caninsters at the end of the film would be cool in addition to having a throne. That being said, im still buying this fig at that price point. Damn childhood memories.

Not really waiting on the throne - especially not if it would raise the bill, but I'd be freaked out for (a few) Akira canisters.

that would be perfect if this figure is based on the movie. So far it seems more like a hybrid to me. (mix of comic and movie)

Yes, those too. When I mentioned his throne, there was no way I would expect it to be made, but it was kind of a yearning wish. But the mutated arm would be nice and the Akira cannister would be great.

Not that we'll ever get those. Still, I'm fairly happy with what we're getting, but I'll be less happy if the price is the same as Kaneda (which I begrudgingly paid for).

I've also lamented about the lack of a mutated arm as well and the throne is something I hadn't thought of. Even though I'm not looking to spend another $400 on a companion piece like Kaneda's bike, the option of purchasing additional accessories would be nice. So, when can we expect to preorder?

preordered my testuoooooo yesterday. i saved a buttload of rakuten points when i bought kaneda and the bike, through some promotion so got ￥2500 off. some days are good days in this hobby other days you look at your bank balance and wished you'd invested in repo company stock.

Its awesome... and the best version I think you could have in 1/6. But damn are they charging you for it Just seems like everything in the like is about 25% or so two high.

Yea $400 is a lot for the bike. When compared to HT offerings of about $250ish for the batpod and $400 for the Tumbler, there is a big descrepency. The thing that it does have going for it is the die-cast part, the lights througout the bike and the sounds that it makes. Add that the fact that it is a Medicom product, I see why it's at that price point.

Yeah, I'm really pondering on it... likely will get from a retailer though as the extra cowl does nothing for me. And I can save about $40 on the bike and another $20 on Kaneda.

I think my Terminator Salvation figures might get sacrificed (sold off and display space taken) to make these guys happen. The idea Tetsuo and Kaneda w/bike on a shelf just sounds right to me
