I was looking at Kaneda and the bike on that site just yesterday. For whatever it means, yesterday for both items it said 'Temporary Sold Out' but now it just says plain 'Sold Out.'

My usual go-to place for Japanese toys, AmiAmi.com. I got both items during their March EMS sale (50% off EMS shipping). They're currently sold out of the bike and Kaneda. I'm not sure if they'll restock.

They have Tetsuo up for pre-order.

I gotcha. I guess I either have to wait for SS to get it or find some place cheaper.

They've already shipped the bike, but not Kaneda yet. I received the payment notice for Kaneda only yesterday, so I expect him to ship any day now. From what I can tell, that's the norm. The bike was released first at most places, followed by Kaneda shortly after?

Siona, did you order from them in the past? If so, how's tax & duty when ordering from them? I'm looking for a good and reliable source for 1/6 scale figures from Medicom & HT since SSC changed their shipping policy for EU customers. At the moment I still have the bike on order with them, mostly because the extral cowling.


Edit: it seems their 50% off shipping runs untill end of March!

That price is as much supply as demand, though. I think there were only 350 or so produced. And only 100 or so of two of the police guys were produced. But yeah, compare that figure to some of the other RAH figures from those days, and it does look pretty good.

Tetsuo is looking great. Not sure if I can get the dough (working on Kaneda and bike still).

For those of you who haven't read the Akira manga, I highly suggest it. A lot of the things that didn't make much sense are explained. It's 6 volumes and the anime only covers some of vol1&2 and some of 6.

I went ahead and ordered Tetsuo (and Rei Ayanami school attire) from them. They are both on sale, and, I really couldn't find them cheaper elseware. So, better order now, then wait to see them sell out. Also they ship with EMS. The chances of slipping through customs is much better when the goods are shipped with EMS, in stead of with a courier like FedEx.
I also asked them about Kaneda, but the answer was quite clear: total sell-out.


The price of Kaneda from SSC is just insane, so I still need to find a alternative for ordering him. I take it they are selling the Medicom stuff at the by Medicom suggested retail price (taxes included). Much of the Mediciom stuff on the Asian sites is cheaper than from Medicom.
