That is a major surprise to me. From the product page:

OK, so I'm an idiot (well, not really, but who thought to look on the back of the plastic clamshell inside the box!).

So, I just re-opened the box and looked on the back, and lo and behold, there is a little fabric cape taped inside.

Sorry for the near-panic, folks! And just as an FYI, the bottom of the cape has a wire inside to help you pose it however you want.

Got my Vader today. Really nice figure. I found the cape even before looking at this thread again but unless you looked there I could see how you could miss it.
