Okay so I broke down and ordered the pair from amiami. Does anyone know the ballpark range of what I can expect for a shipping charge to the US?

Nevermind, I think I figured around $33.00 based off the combined shipping weight of the two figures I found on another sight and google's currancey converter. We'll see, I feel like I just ordered lobster at 'market price'. :lol

Finally got R2 which finishes my medicom droid collection. This figure, as well as the others, are really outstanding and awesome! This figure is just too awesome, but like other complaints, is just way too small, even for their C-3PO.

Yeah, it's a pity about that. It would at least be more forgivable if they were in scale with one another. That way you could at least display them together but separate from other figures.

I picked these up earlier this year. Then I bought the Bandai 3PO. I'm going to keep both sets of droids and display them with different figures. Looking back, should I have waited for the Bandai ones instead? Now I'm kinda glad I've got both brands (more display options), but damn it's a lot of $$$ to be throwing around :(

Never look back. That's an exercise in pain and regret :wink1:

The holes are in the top? As if it wouldn't have worked just as well putting them elsewhere. Same with 3PO, put the holes in the back ffs :slap

Or not have the sound feature at all. Or at least not put holes in it, I wouldn't have cared if the sound was a little muffled. The holes are at the top of the blue panels on the dome.

I want one 3PO. Wich is better, this one or the Bandai version?
Have you checked out the Tamashii thread? :huh :lol

Tamashii 3PO will just make all your other figures look bad. Get the medicom.

I agree. I've never understood the desire/need to have collector toys "say" stuff.

I have both. If you can afford it, I say go for the Bandai one. Both are expensive but you can't go too wrong with either. I wouldn't focus too much on the sound that the medi one has as it's not like you'll be handling these figures all the time.

I hear ya, but my wallet says otherwise

It's a pity that neither does very well on the after market. Both started high to begin with. But we've all been there I guess, made some purchasing decisions that turned out to be poor in hindsight. I've got a two hundred-plus dollar medicom Kamem Rider that I was disappointed with right out of the box. Felt like I'd just taken a wad of bills from my wallet and set fire to them.

I've seen both of these go for fairly cheap in the commerce threads. It seems if you a wait a while the Medi's usually come down in value. At least some of them.
