I think he means, how to make REX stand up without using the leg extenders at the back as a support. It seems like you really need a level surface, and good balancing of the entire figure to even achieve Kiva's pose.

They look great together! Someone needs to make an instruction video on how to make Rex stand! :)
Its not really something thats able to be taught per se. Because it wasnt designed to stand, yet because of its design it can stand. I saw the comment, took my Rex off my shelf and did these 4 variations of the legs yet managed to keep it standing and it took me about 2 minutes to take the pictures, pose and put Rex back ( and the table i put it on was lightweight, on an uneven floor).

It may be a piece by piece situation as the joints on these items can vary greatly. The right leg ( or Rex's left if he was a person) is far more stiff than the other to articulate. My Rex is fortunate enough to be able to do pretty much within the laws of gravity and reason but i couldnt say that somebody elses Rex may do a nose dive. Mine would probably nose dive too after time. It can easily stand with assistance. It can stand on its own, but i wouldnt leave it on its own.

I got mine to stand like that easily...for about 10 seconds.

So until I actually make a custom stand for him, he will remain in the more stable pose.

Last thing I need is to come home and find him toppled over on the floor, let alone crashing down on to other pieces. :(
