I've noticed a pattern on this forum with Hot Toys figures.

1) the announcement - everyone goes wild
2) doubt sets in, pictures are nitpicked to death
3) fear stage begins, people begin to admit there are problems with the prototype
4) resignation that the end product will be terribly, lethally flawed when it finally materialises
5) people get the figure in-hand and it turns out to be fantastic
6) wailing and gnashing of teeth stage begins, all those who cancelled their preorders scramble to obtain the figure once good in-hand pics and reviews materialise
7) repeat for all future releases

There's only a few figures I can think of where this wasn't the case and it did indeed turn out to be junk.

youre totally the first person to notice this, very perceptive of you

What is that, the Kübler-Ross model of the Seven Stages of Hot Toys? :lol

Btw Jason, nice haul! Never knew of those but they look really cool!

Just checked mine and ive stressed his suit more than most and its totally fine. It must be your climate or just got a bum deal on your suit.

On another note, i finally got what ive been putting off telling you guys about. Its the rohby sculpted metal gear figures. Theyre a lot bigger than i expected. Theyre in immaculate condition too. Limited to ten sets. Im so glad to finally have them.

I have seen those before looking on Google search and had no idea what they were, just thought they were a custom made by someone. Congrats on getting them!

Cant believe how many people didnt really know about the rohby figures. Thanks guys. Rampagesss, you can swing by and hang out but if you touch my mgs stuff well have problems buddy. Still looking for the mgs2 raiden, nvg, and the od naked snake kubricks. If you come across them please let me know asap.

Gecco Raiden boxart I found on eBay.

That rohby set looks really neat, I love the Mk II Metal Gear with the in-game Otacon face. They remind me of this Uncharted 3 Nathan Drake figure actually

Thanks! Yeah i think my favorite actually is ocelot, he has the most detail imo. Its nice to finally have some form of the mk in my collection, its one character that always gets overlooked as far as figures go.

I found the nendroid snake in stock from japan so i cancelled the order at bbts. Hopefully i get it by the middle of next week.

Great find, CQC. I first saw rohby's set a few years ago and as much as I wanted it, I couldn't find anyone selling.
The full baked Old Snake is what I wanted most.

They turned out exactly what I thought they were, but I couldn't remember the name of them.

So how much money did you put down on these? And where'd you get them? They retailed for like a $120 a piece, so you had to have dropped like a $1000 for these.

oh man youre way off. i guess i scored them for under retail then, which makes another deal for me. i paid $420 for them. a while back i was looking at a set for $800, im glad i waited. from what you were describing you were off but maybe you had a different look in your head, i knew you were right though. am i correct on the edition size? i think they were limited to 10, but ive never seen anyone else in any forum with them.

sorry dylan, theyre mine.....all......mine. still love ya though buddy.
