I get my Figma Solid Snake this weekend, also got the revolmini's coming tomorrow, both figure lines are new to me so I'm excited to check them out.

I must say... if it is a fake, it's really really good fake.

I've decided to wait for the Sen-Ti-Nel Revoltech Venom Snake instead of the Play Arts Kia version. There are just too many bad reviews for the Play Arts figure.
It's a lot more detailed looking but the articulation was really screwed up this time. Is this the right decision?

I didnt have any problems with mine but then again i posed him once and in the cabinet he went. Not sure i like his pose, might change it soon. But as with all my paks, i always run through all the joints and i dont remember having any of the issues people have been stating.

Here's the Revoltech Mini Venom Snake I just received, pretty neat little figure

I was happy that the Olive Drab version included the gun strap that should have also been in the first release (Tiger Stripe?). Some good alternate weapon parts in this version as well, enough that I wasn't too put off buying what was otherwise a repaint of a figure I already had.

I missed out on the first one, is there a tiger stripe version? I though it was some black and tan outfit and this olive drab, all and all its my first revoltech figure and I like it, I also got the solid snake version too which I will unbox later today.

No Tiger Stripe version, and I don't think there will be. Dunno why they didn't begin with that, since that seems to be the main camo for Big Boss.

I didn't think there was but being new to this figure line I wasn't sure, tiger would have been my first choice if given the option. I got a review being edited right now on this figure and currently filming one on solid snake, I'll post them here when complete

My Venom Snake Review

I've got the olive drab Venom Snake coming in the post along with the Soviet Soldier. Got to say, the face on the olive drab version doesn't look quite as well-painted as the first version, specifically around the eye. I think I might be busting out the paints and tiny brushes when it arrives...

Here's the original: the eyebrow's painted lower and there's 'guyliner' across the upper eyelid to give it some depth and shading.

Also a protip for anyone who finds moving the eyeballs on the Revoltech and Revolmini MGS figures around frustrating: the metal ferrule on any good 0.5mm automatic pencil is a perfect fit and will give you much greater joystick-like control of the eye movement.

Okay so right out of the gate the figma figure craps all over the revoltech line, so much better its not even fair, revolminis do pose well but this figma figure does that and looks good too. Price is nearly double so there's that but damn, figma for the win in my book

Great review I do have a soft spot for that figure, get it posed nicely and under downlighting and it really shines. Don't know if you'd be interested, but if I do end up repainting the face on my Venom Snake when it arrives, I'd happily do yours as well.

Also I think your pics just sold me on Figma Snake. Not looking forward to shelling out what the aftermarket's asking...

Thanks man, very cool of you to say so and very kind of you to offer your service I like the figure but to be honest, after receiving the figma snake today it has changed my perspective a bit, the figma figure really captures snake like no other figure has, big or small, the hot toys figure of naked snake is my favorite of all my metal gear collectibles and looks beautiful, but due to the restriction in the suit he just kinda stands there, with the revolmini figures the articulation is there but it doesn't look that great.

Now with the Figma it does most things right, looks good and moves great, very natural looking and fun to pose, its a nice balance.

Great shots dude, im really happy with mine it makes me want to get the soldier that goes with him.. i hope they give him the proper camo patterns from the tanker or some changeable heads, like i have only seen the really big helmet on the figure but i think that the one that it should have is the light infantry one
