It's funny you mention the way he holds the pistol, that's actually something I've always liked about the series. In any good pistol CQB training they teach you to hold the pistol just like that to prevent someone from grabbing your gun in close-quarters. I've always liked how they get those details mostly right.

Agreed, though his elbows should be tucked into his sides. I served 2 years in the US Marines as a member of the MSPF (Maritime Special Purposes Force, we provided security for Navy SEAL Team 5 and Marine Force Recon) and that is exactly how we were trained to hold and fire pistols. Course, if you have to use a pistol instead of a long gun, something is wrong IMHO.

Well atleast this comes with the mask version too so i can pose him with that just incase the final final final product doesnt live up to our expectations

Id love play arts to redo the figures at some point down the line with regular proportions. Cause i really do love their figs other than a few aspects.

new revoltech pics. While i liked the facesculpt before it looks bad in the production version :S other than that it looks great:

hope they keep pumping these out. Revoltech are fast in prduction usually right?

Yeah, I think so too. I have this one preordered and I will still get it, however the facesculpt could have been much better.

I seriously don't. I know there are personal preferences and such but come on guys, you can't honestly say this is a good figure and i can't see why anyone would want it? even if the articulation is great

Give me a PAK figure with thunder thighs and questionable retcons over ape escape big boss any day

He looks good to me and I'm certainly excited to get him. I love Revoltech figures and hope they make more characters. It's a different take on BB and I think it works.

But it doesn't look anything like Big Boss not to mention being good. That's not my opinion either its fact. Just look at the face

The body is fine but the head is horrendous and seeing as though the head it's the most important part..

They pounded out the ZOE line so yeah we will definitely see more of this line.

the only revoltech figures i own atm are fist of the north star which are badass but this guy , alot of people are right he is an easy pass and about them pushing the line monster hunter figures are coming out very slowly >< so maybe the mgs will be produced slowly seeing that they are competing with pak making this figure.

Face it, aside from the PAK Peace Walker line, we'll probably never get an MGS figure that actually is accurate to the games. Every company tried, only Peace Walker succeeded. :slap

Edit: To a certain degree, so does Medicom.

Yeah the PW line was very very close the likeness from the games aside from Big Boss having BROWN eyes, WTF was that about?

Everything beyond that is a interpreted version of the character. Liquid Snake with his coat has got to be the most blatant departure from the actual look of it.

Nice! And agreed on both the tucked in elbows and bringing a pistol to a gunfight LOL. All in all, I think Mori did a great job at bringing a level of realism to the gunhandling and tactical movement.

i think grayfox and solid and solidus came out pretty good too idk why meryl has such a big head -_-, and the white raiden looks from what i can tell like he did in his game.

He sure did. It became very apparent in MGS2 during the Tanker raid that it felt very real. :clap Still one of my favorite scenes from the game.

I love the interview with Mori in the back of the MGS3 guide.

Solidus is an AMAZING figure, so is Gray Fox, but Solidus doesn't have an accurate headsculpt and Fox is a bit gold. Not knocking off the figures though, just sayin'.

Absolutely. The Tanker raid was so badass, I agree, one of my favorite parts.
