Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 are not in HD but they look okay nonetheless.
I'm glad MGS1 isn't in HD, that's one PSone game that looks even worse after upscaling, probably due to the grainy texture that actually helps create the atmosphere. Games like RE1-3, FFVII-IX looks incredible upscaled though.
So meaning the game is not stretched so you play it in a small window or something? Coz the original resolution of the MSX is like 240p.

Nope they are not, and I'm pretty sure they run at 480p at least considering the code was ported from the 480i PS2 originals.
BTW Raiden in Revengence would win Grey Fox with just 1 leg, and would still win in MGS4 form even if Grey Fox had a sound mind.
Technology has advance too much within a decade.
Grey Fox is good but only good against human & small robots, Raiden on the other hand can slice virtually anything.
Imagine if Vamp got turned into a cyborg, i doubt Grey Fox + Raiden can beat him.

They released MG & MG2 on PS2? I though they only did it for the Gamecube Metal Gear ultra limited Japanese version.
So does the video get stretched or you play it at 480p window.
Not sure the GC & PS2 port did any upscalling from the MSX version though. i doubt they did.

No i think they are talking about the release of MG1&2 in the MGSHD Collections for the PS3 & xbox 360, they where playable from the game menu in MGS3

They were released as a part of Subsistence in MGS3. The PS3/360 versions are the same. No developer in their right mind would port a game in the wrong aspect ratio. Well, except those idiots who did the Silent Hill HD collection.
I miss MGS3 MGO.
i have the Metal Gear Solid HD collection and totally forgot MG1 & 2 were in them lol. i was thinking of getting the new collection just for the MG1 & 2.

Unless you're interested in the Digital Graphic Novels and VR Missions, none whatsoever.
You really think the 1st gen Cyborg Grey Fox is really that good? I mean he is cool & godlike in MGS but technology has advanced and he is pretty much obsolete in the eyes of newer Cyborgs.

Well Raiden in MGS4 was only 9 years after Grey Fox and i don't think he was that much better physically. it'd be a tough call for sure
Not sure on page count, and yes it's the standalone release VR Missions from PSX.
He could hold REX's foot up, he's no pushover by any stretch.

Set up my rex with lights, that was my first proper light test. Also, i was carrying Rex and one of the missile covers on his back came loose, i heard it ting and i couldnt find it anywhere. I spent 2 hours cleaning up my room, and then i found it lodged down the back of his leg. Id of been annoyed if i didnt have clean.
