I'm not even excited about this to be honest. They still haven't releases the Batman Arkham figures as yet... And those were teased since last year.

If anything, they've showed that they're not serious about the VGM line. God help us if another blockbuster Marvel movie gets released next year, and VGM gets pushed even further down their backlog

They are getting all the money they wanted out of Iron Turd so they don't want to deviate from it anytime soon. Maybe will hear something in 4+ years about this.

They had MGS2 Snake in there and I voted for him. I honestly don't think you're a fan of the series if you didn't immediately pick him. Raiden is played out.

Yeah, I'm not going to let Kojima off the hook there. He has retained full control over this series. So, he could have credited Agnes Kaku for basically writing the entire English script of MGS 2, if he wanted. I wonder why she didn't sue.

I honestly can't see the JPN MGS2 being any more coherent than the western version. Overly complicated script killed the pacing in MGS2. It has it's faults but I don't necessarily love it any less. MGS4 is far worse than MGS2 ever was.

I'd much rather see Hot Toys tackle a MGS2 Raiden, but a MGR Raiden would probably look incredible. I try not to think about the QC problems over time with something like that though, assuming they use some rubber materials.

So I bit the bullet and paid a fair after market price for PAK Solid Snake and Cyborg Ninja. I'm pretty happy overall. I'm sure I'll never find an affordable SDCC Cyborg Ninja but then again, I'm not willing to pay through the nose to get a second regular Cyborg Ninja at this point, lol.

I think I'm going to disregard the previous MGS3/PW figures, because they a bit out of scale with the preceding figures. I'll just get the new MGS5 Big Boss. Though I do like a couple of those earlier figures, I can't see myself getting that deep in the line when all I really care about it MGS1 & 2, and I think MGS5 will tie in close enough to MG for me to display them with the other MGS figures.

The figure looks good, but it's just such an odd choice. Sneaking Suit Naked Snake? Really? I agree Plissken, that would have been much cooler. Jeeze, at least give us a second head without the eye patch.
