Articulation on this figure is amazing....The only negative I can think of is the fact that SE don't have the license to make figures from the first 4 games. Can you imagine a Solid Snake from MGS 1 done like this figure?

has there been any update on the ThreeA Metal Gear Rex figure? i remember seeing the proto a while ago and it still isn't for sale anywhere. supposedly, they're making Ray too.

Well, the last that I heard of ThreeA's Rex, is that Ashley Wood is still working on it. And that was a few months ago. We might see Rex as early as December. At least, that's the speculation over at the ThreeA board. However, even if ThreeA finishes the design, it still has to get a final approval from Konami, and perhaps even Kojima, himself.

well that sucks. 3A hates making money. anyway, i just scored a set of the Medicom 6" statues from series 2 for $40. they haven't shown up yet, but i'm just wondering if anyone else collects them. and is there gonna be a series 3? there are plenty of other characters i'd buy in this scale.

^I don't believe that there's going to be a series 3 from Medicom. They haven't made anything for Peace Walker, so I assume that at the moment, Square Enix (rather, Play Arts) possesses the exlcusive rights for producing MGS figures.

And yeah, ThreeA is taking really long with their Rex. Not that I mind of course, since I still need to save up the money for it!

yeah i just pre-ordered the Jungle Fatigues Snake from that series. but i'm kinda disappointed that the Play Arts figures aren't to scale with my 6" MG collection. i basically have to start all over now. and i hope they make more than just Peace Walker. i really want figures of MGS4 Big Boss and MGS3 Ocelot.

Honestly man don't buy it.
It's the konami figure mounted on a hot toys rambo muscle body.
Even the paintjob isn't good.

haha! i saw that thing too. i actually posted about some custom Konami figures on Hot Toys bodies here a while ago. they look pretty cool... but they're not worth anywhere near $220. the best part about it is the HT body and everything else is just a cheap Konami toy. i think you're better off waiting for HT or someone else getting the Metal Gear license and making some real figures. dunno what that dude is thinking trying to sell that turd for $220. i wouldn't even pay that for an actual licensed HT figure.
