Thanks for the feedback, bros. :wave
Maybe I'm just too desperate for a Liquid Snake to even consider that contraption. :lol

yeah, i want a decent 12" Liquid figure too. but the only choice we get is the Konami 12" one which sucks. and i think we can forget about Medicom ever making him. i'm still hoping HT gets the license. they'd sell better than their Resident Evil figures anyway.

In Hot Toys I believe. If they ever announce the Konami/MGS license Medicommies will be crying themselves to sleep at night while cuddling with their Snake figures.

Good thing I haven't spent a dime on Medicom MGS figures. I really can't get over the fact that it's smaller when side-by-side with other 1/6 figures..

And I'd rather have a customized MGS HS to put on a HT body and bash it up to my liking, than spending Hot Toys-worthy money on Medicom-only quality. :dunno

hm, good point. i don't like Medicom much either, but they're sometimes the only choice when it comes to certain characters/licenses that nobody else makes. i'd love HT to make Metal Gear and Daft Punk, but they won't, so i gotta get Medi figures. catch-22.

Saw this and thought "that would look great with a 12" Old Snake or Raiden", no?

Saw this on the Hot Toys Japan site's q and a. Dunno what to make of it...Google translate will only get you so far:

Q "Masterpiece video game" Metal Gear Solid series, with a figurine of what plans there? I want to look at quality and Hot Snake.

(From Kuriyama Kazuhisa)

I work here?

And Hot team seems like I have worked before.

Soon, I ask if you can look up of Konami's product?

(Answer: Frank)

Frank is Howard Frank, CEO of Hot Toys Japan. I wonder what this means?

Well, what I can tell you, is that google translator has improved A LOT from a few years ago :rotfl. Tell ya what, post up the link, and I'll see if I can translate. I'm taking Japanese language studies as a minor in college, so I may be able to help.

Hot Toys Metal Gear Solid!!!!!!!! I really don't care which part (original, Peace Walker, Snake Eater), I want Snake in Hot Toys sculpt-quality!!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D:D

I checked it with another translation site...he's just asking can we check what the licencing status is with Konami...in other words nothing. Drag!

Ugh!!! Hopes were up for a minute there. :slap

I guess Play Arts Kai (10-inch figures) has to do a good job of releasing figures that'll veer us away from 1/6..

So far, I've already pre-ordered both Snake versions (Sneaking Suit & Jungle Camo) from the Peace Walker line. I hope they can produce more MGS figures from all versions of the game!!! :yess:

Hi Mark.. Are you bashing up a Solid Snake or a Big Boss/Naked Snake?

Solid Snake is hard to bash, in my opinion, because he almost always wore the Sneaking Suit on all the games he appeared in.. And it's hard to find the perfect Sneaking Suit to fit snugly on a HT body (or whatever body for that matter).

I'm bashing up a Big Boss (Peace Walker) version, and I'll post pics soon. Need help with the belt, as compared to his Play Arts Kai version, he had a lot of stuff on his belt including a Butt Pack and Hard-to-find Harness!!! :(

The custom Snake I'm about to build will have to hold me over until Hot Toys makes the move. Still trying to find a good suit for him to wear.

It's going to be the Big Boss figure. I'm not going with a Peace Walker version though. Might try to just make him more "real world" by using regular fatigues and equipment.

~~For the butt-pack check this site. These guys have everything there, and deals are pretty good in the commerce section if you find something you like.
