What a bizarre display... More toward a cult of worshipping BB than a MGS collection.

Anyway, here's my TV display for now as I've just fixed my RAH square ver. (Info is in the custom thread)

I wish I had the room to start using acrylic cases because they look so great with a figure in them, but I got over 30 1/6 figures at this point and I'm out of room on my shelves.

Displaying figures is a pain.

When you have no more floor room you can only go for the wall shelf options

Costs a fortune too.

Yeah I don't like the TTM19 elbows.

I know right, It's like it's a family portrait or something :lol

Ryan the body is slightly bigger yeah, bigger upper torso but the arms are bigger too and that's where i think it's a bit too big.

The best body would be a TTM19 with TTM21 arms. Arms are perfect on the TTM21, they even have the slightly larger shoulders.

I'm only using it for figures that need to articulation though. For the Big Boss and Old Snake that don't need the added articulation I'll pick up the TTM19.

Lots of recent HT figures are using the TTM19 bodies right now, like the newest Wolverine for example

Try HT Wolverine Last Stand body, it has TTM19 body core but more articulation arms.

Im no stranger to metal gears, but i am aware that there is certain differences i may not pick up on. But id like a little bit of clarification if you guys dont mind. The 3A Ray, does it depict just the Ray that is in the battle with Rex or were all the other Ray's from later in the game also the exact same design?

We have the Marine Ray, the mass produced ones (or if they were even real, in the " VR" of MGS2's arsenal gear) Desperado Ray theyre all distinct. But im not sure if Ocelots Ray on Shadow Moses is the same design as the ones that attack the missouri

You guys been playing Ground Zeroes? I had to go to 3 different stores to find a copy of it, guess I should have pre ordered. I'm liking it.....aside from Kiefer. He does a good job, but it just feels off. God I hope I'm right with my theroy that the last scene in TPP will be the opening of the first Metal Gear with Hayter as Solid saying "kept you waiting huh?" Roll credits. Or make it the after credits scene. Then badass remakes of MG and MG2 follow.

I really enjoyed GZ, every minute of it (not MANY minutes LOL) but it was so great seeing the Fox Engine. Simply beautiful, gameplay is awesome! It never felt this fluid to play MGS. I don't know about you guys, but I got my butt HANDED to me a couple of times. The game new features like marking and reflex are NOT CRUTCHES. The enemies have like 20/20 vision, ESPECIALLY on HARD and in the day time missions, they see you from SO FAR!! That was one my biggest surprises. And I liked Kiefer Sutherland o.o however, after watching that Game Informer Interview with Kojima, I have no doubt Hayter will be back to play Solid Snake.

Turning this conversation back towards collectibles, I just read that Game Informer Interview and in it Kojima says MGS isn't popular in Japan. If thats that case why is all the cool stuff exclusive to there?

I think he meant that when comparing its popularity with other regions. He's been saying that for decades that MGS does better in the west than east, and most of us are well aware of that. That being said, to quote a famous time traveler, all the best stuff is made in Japan.

Well the Japanese fans must be doing something right. They get all the cool stuff, hell they even got to keep their voice actor.

Nah, I think has to do with Kojima's obligation to his own native country than anything else. He's best buds with Akio Otsuka, no way is he gonna sit Akio out of a new MGS game.

In addition to that, Kojima suffers from "I know what's best for you" syndrome, in which he never fails to think he understand western audiences despite not speaking a lick of English. I don't think that's something he could get away with in Japan.

I didn't know that he and Akio Otsuka were so close :lol. I guess that explains why he was able to keep his job, while Hayter was given the boot.

Anyways... back to MGS Collectibles.
