Hey guys! I got my Big Boss Metallic Version today. I got it for $200 (came with the Japanese copy of GZ, and a cassette looking case). This has been the most money I had spent for a Play Arts Kai figure, before was $100 for the Peace Walker Sneaking Suit Version Zero. Anyways, I took some pictures, let me know if you guys would like more comparison shots or anything! He is one very study PAK, very well made, the quality is MUCH better than the Peace Walker ones (well these are MSRP $100 vs the Peace Walker ones with MSRP $45).

Great pics!

That looks cool. But, the beard on the head-sculpt would have to go.

I did think the beard was a bit obvious as opposed to MGS2 snake. But it does look more like the Super Smash bro's version and i quite like the more bearded look. i dont know what the toys head sculpt is from though

I won it on ebay uk earlier, when ive got it in hand ill have a good look at it and see what i can use to enhance it to be better. It looks like a fair bit of work has went in to it already though so i thought it would of sold for more than £60

Not bad! Headsculpt is wrong and so are some other stuff but I'd say that's impressive nonetheless!

Im starting to want this since playing GroundZeroes, even though i swore not to lol. How does the quality compare to more recent MGS PlayArts like MGS1 Snake?

Also does that headsculpt look better in person? thats the main reason i dont want it.

Ive read that this new figure comes with new types of joints? Is that the case or are they the same as the previous PAK figures?

It came with the KonamiStyle edition of Ground Zeroes. Rest of us that didn't order that version will have to wait to May I believe for the regular version.

So no versions are being sold loose on eBay? They did that with the White Raiden that came with the UK version of MGR. I tried looking up the metallic version yesterday and didn't find it.

It's a nice gloss on it, but it's so similar to the regular that I could pass on it.

I like the finish on the Metallic GZ BB I'll admit.

Looks much better than the regular version but the Head is atrocious. Are they getting the Turtles to paint these with only 3 fingers or something?

Not to diss the fellas who've dished out the coin on them mind.

I'd only want the metallic BB and I'd get a custom HS made for it, if i was to plan on getting it.

One thing i've noticed as well is, the articulation is getting worse in some areas. They make the fore arm and bicep muscles too big near the joint so the arm closes even further away than it did before.

I noticed this on my SF Ken in comparison to Ryu

PAK headsculpts have been on a steep decline. Ugly paint apps, and the size of the heads are too small for the bodies.
