I was talking about how the Peace Walker, because of the way it's brain worked, went into the water and drowned itself. Huey gave some lame explanation about how the brain worked and then said how it had a heart. I think it ended up being a lie though, just to keep Big Boss complacent, so he wouldn't look into Miller's and Zero's shenanigans of manipulating him behind the scenes. Really Big Boss just messed Peace Walker up so much that it just went in the water or maybe Cypher was controlling it, and then lying to Jack, making him feel like his mentor was a hero, when they just set it up, so he would use it's components for Zeke. I could be wrong. Just Otacon's and his whole family are so pathetic! I wanted Solid Snake to smack him when he was explaining his anime love. Maybe that's why I hated anime so much. I'm just kidding!

Peace Walkers story is soo convoluted, even more so than any MG from before and that's saying something!

I couldn't tell you who the bad guy was or what anyone's motivations were. While I admit I enjoyed as I played, looking back it wasn't that great. But it definitely had its moments

Another close up of Shinkawa's RAY. The more I look at it, the more I really want it! I just wish I had the mad skills to paint it!

That would be cool maybe as a toy. As a pone cover it's rubbish. Its size would make the phone feel like a brick!

If I wanted to carry a walky talky around as means of communicating id just buy a set

Not at the ridiculous price that will be either

Don't lie to yourself, brick phones are the best. They're a communications device and a tactical weapon all in one. :lol

That said, it looks pretty neat as a fancy MGS-related cover in its own right. I know some people that like to carry their phones around in their hands than actually keeping them in their pockets (I tend to do it on occasion, actually).

Or is he going for the mgs2 color scheme, I might get it done the same way.
The iDroid case is nice for a display piece, but practically using it is quite absurd.
(Even for mini map function... The iphone screen is too small)

Pockets were invented to put stuff in man, you're living in the past!

There's no way id walk around carrying that thing in my hand most of the time :lol

It's a cool piece, just not for a phone cover

Got my metallic big boss in the mail today.

The crotch is rubberized. The rubberized chest doesn't seem to add any benefits for flexibility because his arms still don't move all that much. The ankles tilt side to side and the front of his foot has a joint that allows the toes to bend up and down (rather than side to side like other PAKS). He has a ratcheting joint in the upper torso (breast area). His backpack is held on pretty flimsily by a little chunk of rubber on his belt. I can almost guarantee that it will break off for a number of people. The face doesn't look anything like BB. He's nice and shiny though.

Sweet CryptDemon! My friend sent me some pics of his way before most people got him. It's a great figure minus the questionable headsculpt. I wonder why it came down to that because Square Enix never fails when it comes to figures that were release alongside the games (Peace Walker and Rising).

The Peace Walker Snake was the first MGS figure that really seemed as if he literally popped out of the game. :lol

I know this is not directly related to this thread, but could anyone answer a question of mine? It's about AmiAmi.

A few weeks ago, I pre-ordered Figma Ryuko Matoi. I was initially planning to order her together with Revoltech Raiden, but by the time I did so, Raiden was out of stock. Now it's back in stock there, and I want to order it, but I'd like to get it paid and shipped together when Figma Ryuko Matoi releases (in August) rather than having to pay for it right away (because it's already released) and having it shipped to me.

Is combining orders good for that, or don't they allow me to do that?

I'm asking because I want to be sure. Since AmiAmi doesn't allow canceling the order in case I want to cancel it because of an error.

Unfortunately no, they only allow combined orders if they're being ordered within the same month, otherwise AmiAmi separates the order into two and will charge you for the in-stock items immediately. You'll only be able to pair up Raiden with Ryuuko if you specifically order him once August hits on its first day (if he's still available at all by then). I don't even think there's an option to combine the two during checkout due to the way AmiAmi has structured their checkout process (you can only combine in-stock items with other items within the same month when you made the order for the in-stock item).

Wow.. well, that sucks, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks that's some cheap B.S. :/

Well, thanks for your honest and straight answer. Disappointing. I was hoping to make the shipping cost more so worth it by ordering two items at once. I also can't really order Raiden now, and I would be able to in August. Guess I'll be missing out on Revoltech Raiden then, because I'm certainly not gonna pay double the amount it is worth on eBay.

Disappointing, and lame.

Yeah I should know, I order a lot from AmiAmi. So much so that it's happened to me at times when a pre-order figure gets delayed to the next month, where I end up paying for the in-stock items immediately for the current month.

Most Japanese-oriented figure stores I buy from don't like storing items in their warehouse due to space issues and the constant flow of figures they get, with one of the few exceptions being HLJ which has a storage limit of up to 60 days max until they ship the item out. Surprisingly though, AmiAmi has held my HT Mechanic Tony for a while now........ though I guess they're nice enough to hold onto it since I ordered at the time when it was slated for an April release so dropping a HT figure on me out of nowhere would've definitely screwed me over. :thud:

That's a shame about the new Big Boss figure. There's still more MGS5 figures coming, so hopefully they are much better. I'm definitely down for the Skullface and Phantom Pain Big Boss. There's going to be a lot of awesome characters in the game, and hopefully there will be a PAK Ocelot to get out of it.

That iDroid looks cool!
