I'm happy with my MGS2 custom, but I can't have too many MGS2 Snakes so I'll buy it day one. I hope Lim Toys can take cues from the custom and improve upon it to make a better figure!

There's no other way to do it. I'm so glad Jack is doing it that way. I just hope whoever company is producing it that they paint it the right skin tone. He was really pale in that game and his facial hair is just light stubble and not the beard given to him in Smash Bros. And, his eyes are green, not blue.

In smash they used the mgs 3 head on a mgs 2 body so its a cannibal snake lol, i hope now that jack gets the proper mgs2 meshes and not the mgs4 young snake ones, i hope lim toys goes for a plisskin (not gonna even try to spell it right) and solid in the same way he approached big boss and venom. Wishlist includes but is not limited to

2 heads (one with a bandana and one no)+ long bandana piece for infinite ammo
Navy seal uniform and rigs
M4
Socom
Orange box
Ciggs
Chaff
Freeze spray
Cipher (maybe exclusive or deluxe)

I've talked with Jack about doing Pliskin and it seemed like something he would be open to. But it really comes down to whoever his employer wants to go with.

Again I can't say it enough. But I'm so thankful to have someone that's developing high quality MGS figures and we got their ear for input.

If getting a separate release is an issue, I hope they can just mimic what was done with Venom Snake. One set containing two heads and then a separate body kit. So that way we get both Solid Snake and Pliskin.

I agree, I was so excited Hot Toys picked up the MGSV license but NOTHING came out of it - thank you Jack!

Solid Snake is very fair in the games, which accentuates his features. The wrong (darker) paint job would ruin it and it's no secret that it would be a challenging sculpt to get right.

The models below are free from in-game lighting which demonstrates them at their most neutral tones:
