thanks, but not sure what you mean. theres plenty of stuff on ebay to buy metal gear solid related, but if you want anything from this thread youd have to make it or somehow bash it from pieces from other figures. theres nothing really on this particular thread that you can buy unless someone is willing to sell theirs. usually people make what they cant acquire regularly and would never get rid of it unless they had no other option but to sell it.

Thinking about modding my old snake by medicom and have heard people mentioning exacto knife, anybody recommend a set or one with the right blade size for this type of thing? I have an old scalpel set, type you pick up at a cheap car boot but it's terrible quality.

Speaking of Old Snake, somehow the barrel on his M4 broke off again over the weekend and I can't fix it this time. I planned on replacing it for a more accurate version anyway, since the one on the figure only appeared in the early trailers.
You must buy a new exact to do this. Sharp blade is needed. Cut all the armour parts. Basically you need to remove the parts showing the under mesh suit.
Now the best to use is the jor-el suit to use as a base since it has already a good colour and a good texture.
You can go with a ttm19 type body but you will have to resculpt the thighs and calves to fill out the armour.
Once you have your body with the suit one you can glue all the armour parts.
Here is the one I made 4 years ago. I didn't used the morel suit since it wasn't existing yet.
I'm currently working on a new one at the moment.

That one blows mine away. I didnt cut up the suit at all and im not planning on doing it on my octocamo olive drab one.

There are pros and cons to doing this custom.
PRO'S THE MEDICOM body probably will break on you are sone point anyway. It looks pretty good and is more in scale.
Con's the articulation isn't all that much improved. It's hard to find just the right glue and I still am not sure what to do about the exposed wrist articulation skin color.
Also Elvis are you still using this sculpt these days? It's my all time favorite you've ever done.

He is mostly cut into pieces but the problem I have is with his shoulders. Still can't get him to shoulder his rifle.

That is why i used the first version thor body. Basically its a ttm19 but the arm at the shoulder are attached differently and a bit further apart to the torso so articulation is better.
