Yep, better be sure that you're gettin' good adhesion with these things.
And Medicom's vinyl is pretty great, there's no fear of damagin' it.



Good advice! I'll give it a try.

WInter soldier and Aou is the same body so either of those will work perfectly.

Not wires in the fingers. The fingers are hard plastic on the medicom figure. The head is hollow.
I cut a HT hand and slide it inside the medicom suit. That way you can keep the ht hand pegs and get full movement.

Some updates.

Working on another Old Snake.

For this one I wanted more articulation in the arms so I went for a Captain America body. It has doube elbow articulations and is able to pose better than a TTM19.
I kepts the forarms and hands in one piece and inserted articulations inside to be able to pose the hands correctly.

I wanted to use a jor-el suit at first but find out that the glue didn't stick to the material correctly. So I went with a textured cloth bodysuit. I used the SS snowtrooper body suit dye in black. I know black is not accurate but I like that contrast better.

For abyone attemtping that mod it is better to wash the vinyl suit with wram water and soap. The inside of the suit is very greasy and the glue won't stick if you don't wash the vinyl parts before gluing them.

I apply a dark wash to the suit to bring more contrast and added some weathering. I also added small eyelets to add details and realism.

Head is still in the work.

Venom Snake now finished. I will still switch the head with the new one made by Amnur.

and a Peace Walker Big Boss i'm working on.

Still need to add the pouches, patches and some weathering.
This time I used Feng headsculpt that is just finished painting.

ALso working on a MGS2 SOLID SNAKE.

Lots of things and details needs to be done but here's how he looks so far.

Yes he is bulky. But that is what I was aiming at. I was going with the new 3D render look for him. Not everyone's taste but that is what I wanted.

Yes this one will have the Octocamo head.

I used Vallejo acrylics to repaint the suit

I changed the arms of the body I was using with HT Joe Colton arms, added the pouches. Still need to add the small buckles on the knee and elbow pads.

i looked real hard for something suitable for a knee pad. i ended up looking at those stupid useless finger support things that come in packs of 10. if you really look at the listings there are many different materials to choose from, i ended up finding some neoprene ones. i think there were 4 different materials out there but the neoprene ones seemed the best i suppose. i think ill use fabric paint to try to make them look more leathery. i ordered them from china so who knows how long theyll take to arrive. im hoping to god that theyre better than the metal boss pad because that thing SUCKS, the straps mind as well not even be there. these neo ones are sewn up the side so theyre like one tube.

Yeah, me too. A clean MGS 3 Naked Snake sculpt with a beret would be pretty awesome. A better Boss sculpt I think is needed at this point - the HT one is gross.
