I want to pre-order the Limited Edition, but $85 is very steep just for a game. How will the Beta work? will you get some kind of invite or key?

Also, what's included with the Japanese LE? They always get the coolest extras. That's not saying that the US LE isn't getting cool stuff, which it certainly is.

I dunno what the japs have, I paid $95 for mine with shipping and handling though. But the US you get:

Blu-ray DVD containing:

* 2 Making of Documentaries of MGS4 game - interview with Kojima
* 4 chapters of the graphic novel

Wait, I'm confused, The MG Import soundtrack CD is on the Blu-ray disc? So that means that you can only listen to the tracks only when inserted into a blu-ray drive? I hope that's not the case.

The LE sounds good and all, but considering that we're paying an extra $25 for some making-of and interview vids that'll hit the internet within weeks of release, I don't know if it's worth it.

4 chapters of the graphic novel is cool only if you're going to invest in reading the rest of the graphic novels.

So the only extras that interest me from the LE are the soundtrack, the metal case, and the Gamestop exclusive art book.

What puzzles me is that the Gamestop pre-order for the standard version of MGS4 gets you the Guns of the Patriots dvd, which is not included with the LE pre-order. What's on that extra dvd? Is it the MGS Saga volume 2?

Yes, you can get it with the LE. I did. Yeah, it's basically Volume 2.

Yep, which is why I'm not registering for the Japanese beta, and being how the game is released worldwide at the same time, why enter the japanese one?

The beta starts before the games release I beleive. Plus I'm in the UK and currently there's no way of getting on the neta over here except using the Japan link above.

is the medicom mgs4 old snake the same height as hot toys body figures? do they have similar proportions?

damn... i dont think ill be ordering that then.. i ordered the medicom raiden.. and will probably make a custom old snake( not with his fancy body suit)

now i hope raiden is justa little taller than Ht figures..enough to justify him wearing heels

I'm sure that the Raiden will be very similar in height to the Old Snake, maybe a touch taller.

I just finished MGS 3 from the essentials pack and was blown away by the story, loved that game and gotta say is the best of the series so far (ALthough the bosses seemed a bit easy to beat in normal diffculty).

I have palyed every metal gear game (even Snake's revenge) till this point. And just never got around to picking up the MGS3 till now. Im glad I finally did... awesome awesome game.. Now where to find a MGS 3 figure?

I've been on the fence about getting a Medicom Old Snake. I've seen the pics posted on this board and over at Mediworld but I haven't been convinced yet. Those who own the figure, are the paint issues apparent and very noticeable? Is he worth the cash?

If I could get one for less than $140 shipped, I'd jump at the chance. I think I let a couple slip through my fingers on the SF board.

The paint issues are not that noticeable...especially if you don't start posing him all over the place because thats the way the paint cracks. You really can't see it unless you look closely.

All issues aside he is a cool figure, the suit really is well done and he certainly stands out.

Check the "Sale" section, I think someone was selling one for around $140-$150...he certainly is not worth $180s like Sideshow had him.

Does anyone know if you are supposed to get anything else if you pre-order from EB Games/Gamestop??

I read something about someone getting a Saga 2.0 DVD? Any news on that?
