I am genuinely excited to get this figure. I have the 2 versions available at BBTS on PO but really wish now i had picked up the mezzo EX as well. The figure just offers so many display options that all 3 are warranted. This appears to be all the fun that DCUC used to be and all the quality costume/accessories of the sideshow 12" figures.

This scale is fantastic for diorama displays and appears to really bring this figure to life ^. great pic with bane btw. :)

Yeah it really is a gem, unfortunately this is where my lack of diorama pieces and background sets fail me on displaying this piece :thud:

Oh well, he works well with what I got to use

But I do enjoy the box art for a backdrop :clap

Can the suit be taken off or is it sewn shut?
I wanna get this but I'm kinda worried about breaks and how hard it would be to fix them.

also
has anybody tried putting the cape UNDER the plastic neck piece?

It's sewn shut, but don't worry it has a material that stretches when you pose it, even extremely. The neck piece is a very hard plastic that's grafted almost to the collar They did this so you can have the neck move freely with the plastic neck piece allowing more downward articulation. The cape was made to not be removed, but it won't matter. In person, handling is when you will see the craftsman ship they did on the suit.

The suit is very durable IMO.

You can do it. The neck pegs in to a base that covers his traps. It pops off and you can put the cape underneath,no problem.

Hmm thanks I didn't know you could do it. Do you have to heat the neck piece up, because mine is pretty stiff

Do you have a pic with the cape underneath the piece?

Since Mezco confirmed they are making more from the DCU, I NEED Neal Adams and Jim Lee Bats.

I'm right there with you!!! Throw in superman(DKR, and traditional one, new 52), some army builders(ninjas, police ) ect.... Grow the line!!!:hi5:

I don't. I still can't figure out how to post pics on this forum from my phone. Once you pop it off, you'd have to cut the stitch that attaches it to the "cowl" piece. If you can tell me how to post pics from a phone I'll throw some up tonight.

ETA: I didn't heat it up. It popped off when I switched heads the first time. Once I put it back on, it stays fine, but isn't difficult to remove.

I use photo bucket, you can also use Flickr they have phone apps. After you put the photos on the apps it's a simple cut and paste.

Better than nothing. If you put the cape under the plastic piece how does it look and how can you put the cape over the shoulders if it's underneath
Haven't done it since I'm not willing to cut the stitch that holds cape to cowl. The cape would still drape over the shoulders as it would sit between the cowl and the upper body. Now that I'm thinking about it, I'm probably going to glue that cowl onto it's peg permanently. Now it's bothering me. I have seen a photo of it done with the cape under the cowl. Didn't look terrible, but didn't look better than stock.

Ah that's what I thought. the way they designed the neck piece allows it to flow both ways.

IDK it doesn't sound right if you put the cape underneath, if you cut it and if you glue it permanently then how can you put it over the shoulders

I think I have to see pics of both ways.

Do you have a link to the photos of this method

I think you're misunderstanding. If you look at my first pic, that's the underside of the plastic cowl. It's what his neck joint goes into. You see the hole? That's where the peg in his torso from the second pic goes. There's a small stitch that holds the cape to the plastic cowl piece. To put the cape UNDER the cowl, you'd have to cut that stitch. I'm not willing to do that. What in going to do is merely super glue my plastic cowl piece to the peg in his upper torso so that it stops popping off when I swap heads or tilt his head way up or way down. If you want to place the cape UNDER his cowl, just cut that one stitch and run the hole in the underside of the cowl and the peg in his upper torso through the hole in the cape. No glue required.

I would think with the cape under then the plastic piece may not "fit" as well since there is now something between and you would have to somehow connect the cape together so it couldn't slide off as well... seems like too much work if it really doesn't look that much better.

I get it trust me, and I saw the pics and I didn't misunderstood you. But if you are having the plastic cowl come off every time you pop the head off, that's not right and I think there is something wrong with your cowl piece IMO. Mine doesn't pop off, it pretty much moves when I tilt the head since I think that 's the way they designed it.

I think in the YouTube reviews I see that going on. I think Pixel Dan said it was like a rocker joint for the collar. I'd think if yours keeps popping of there is definitely something bizarre going on because mine is pretty tight but still moveable whether I tilt it up or down or use force to switch heads. :dunno

Did you get yours from Walmart? I'd contact them for a replacement. Like Darth Madden said it might not be easy to to put it under the piece and still put it over the soldiers if you glue it.

I'd look for a replacement if I were you. sorry. I wonder if the other posters who got this and posted have this pop off problem like yours

It's fixed now. Loctite. I think it was just a bit loose. It does slide. It's crazy, you can almost touch his chin to his chest!

So there was something wrong it's supposed to slide and yours didn't out of the box?

This is what I'm talking about with mine. Slide and all

I think the closed mouth goes even deeper

It always slid, but if I went too far, it would pop right off. Not anymore.

This line is going to be great!
