Makes me wonder if they ran into problems with the rubber body. This is the first time Mezco is using it right?

Classic case of overthinking. Clearly they wanted an all-rubber body to match/compete with Hot Toys. Well, not only did that thing NEVER work (almost a decade later and mine is still just standing perfectly still) it's not how the suit in the movie was built.

All they had to do was start with a very thin body, or even an endoskeleton, and cover it with very thin black fabric. Glue the armor parts on, in either hard plastic or a softer rubbery plastic. Front and back, arms, gauntlets, thighs, boots. BOOM. Done. Still proportional and would retain poseability.

They've been "working" on this (allegedly) since 2014 and I can't believe they thought the stiff, non-poseable, Gumby Hot Toys Jr. was their best option. And clearly they can't even do that!!

I'm looking forward to the Beast Kingdom Dynamic Action Heroes at this point. If they're cool or they suck, at least they'll EXIST. No way on earth Mezco is gonna beat them to market.

I think they're just waiting for the five or so of us that are really vocal to finally shut up, and they'll quietly erase it from their website.

Agree. Mez has mastered small scale fabric so go with what they know. Fabric under suit and the synthetic “plates” like the did for other Batman chracters. This would have been doable.

The rubber Gumby Body was a terrible idea and killed my interest.

I actually took an extra HT Batman, cut it up into plates like the real suit and glued them over a Kato full body suit. Was super easy and looks identical to the movie.

I sold my collection two years ago but I still have the body I made. I'll try and do that but it's just the body with out anything else.

Review of the Sprang set from D Amazing. Really like how this came out.

Saw it I'm so excited to get this next Monday thankfully I have Neca's The Phantom figure coming Friday to hold me over. Lol I also agree if it was a four pack with Batman and Robin vs Two-face and Joker or Riddler that would be amazing.

I got my set today and it’s the most excited I’ve been about a Mezco release in…probably ever. They’re gorgeous and visually striking and honestly? This is all I’ve ever wanted out of Mezco. I’m looking at this two pack coupled with the new Superman, Spider-Man, and, even, the FF/Doom, and Wolverine with his 181 heads and it gets me legitimately excited about the future of this line.

I sincerely hope we get a Robin & Joker 2-pack to compliment this one, but I’d love Catwoman in her purple gown and I’ve been clamoring for a Golden Age Detective 27 Batman ever since they first teased the Ascending Knight before pulling the bait and switch on us…but honestly? I’d love a 2-pack in this vain of a Curt Swan Superman and Brainiac, though I suspect it would trigger a lot of people if Mez’s first Brainiac was wearing a purple Speedo.

Wait till they give us more classic pulp comic heroes. I can see The Phantom, The Shadow, Doc Savage being made by them. I'll probably lose it if they do. Lol

The pulp characters would be great. I’d be in for Shadow and Phantom for sure. Really looking forward to Solomon Kane. Just re-read some of the old books by Howard.

The Conan the did is amazing. Like he jumped right out of the comic. When Mez gets it right they can really kill it. Just wish they weren’t so damn slow.

Just got the two pack yesterday, and they are amazing Batman is so much fun to pose. And Two-face is awesome I think between the standard version with Red and black this classic one tops it. I really hope we get Joker and Robin in this same style because they would look fantastic.
