I'm going to assume the lever is just a tool and can be removed. Maybe they even have a cover for the giant slot. This company makes some wacky choices but this would be jumping the shark.

Could it be the best 1/12 Keaton? Sure, but it's not like there's a lot of competition.

Was thinking the same thing but in that case why bother with the panel with an opening for the joystick? Just open up, put in the stick to move the eyes and close the panel again

I knew there had to be something I wasn't thinking of. We really need a video review to explain what we're seeing.

The drape cape and wired cape look gorgeous despite the seams. Very impressed by that.

There should be 3 heads total. One with the joy stick in the back of the head and two regular heads with non-moving eyes. That’s what the specs showed.

The belt with that metallic tin gold paint looks awful.


I hope the faceplates are interchangeable because I like the regular cowl with the cut face but I don’t like the cut face. They jut out so they look like they can be popped out and swapped.

Rubber body was a dumb idea. Moveable eyes are a dumb idea. All these companies trying to copy Hot Toys and replicate DX09 instead of just making a nice Keaton Batman. I don’t get it.


I don’t hate it but that prototype looked so much cooler. If it had the cape/capes the final figure had, oh man, that would be perfect.

Three heads total and if the mezco site is anything to go by, the other non-moveable eyes head also has his teeth showing. How do you decide to mess up the plain face head so bad with that terrible back design lol.

So… the head with movable eyes has a giant stick sticking out the back of his head.

Looks surprisingly good apart from that.

didn’’t they decide to go with the metallic belt color for BR …but I have to admit …this shiny paint is unique to any version of a Keaton Bats 89 fig in any scale…and isn’t that Mezco’s schtick…to be a standout

I think Mezco either hasn’t received the stock yet or the bad weather happening this month is delaying shipping from NY

I can answer that! Within the madness of the 89 Batman comments, Mezco have charged for the Comic Superman as well. I’ve got mine charged but not yet dispatched, so it’s a pretty nice surprise That said, the ‘S’ symbol on the suit looks rubbish IMO, the prototype images had a much nicer design.

I’ve seen the recent pics and in hand of the MOS version of comic Superman by Mezco..very disappointed in the quality , design of the suit and S symbol

I think I’ll wait if the third parties like BMS toys will do a classic Superman. I‘m amazed with my KC

That Superman reminds me of the DC Super Powers toy I had back in the 80s. Is that what he's designed after? I wish the S logo was bigger, but it'll do to satiate my need for Superman toys, as long as he has great posability.

Agreed. I've cancelled my preorder as it doesn't match the expectations I had from the solicited prototype.

Yeah. The shield in the promo images was much bigger and higher up on his suit. Looked much better I agree. Disappointing these last second changes for the worse.

My pre-order is with BBTS so the are always a bit behind.

Nice surprise it is coming but not sure why the needed to “fix” something that did not need it. Disappointing.
