MGS 4 Raiden 12-inch Figure from Medicom

I'm going to disagree with you here. The RAH figures produced for Metal Gear Solid are definitely limited. Old Snake was only available for about four months before becoming officially discontinued. Hobby Links Japan, Play Asia, etc. have all exhausted their stock of this figure for some time, and didn't restock since.

Similarly, RAH Olive Drab Snake was only available for a few short weeks, before sites (such as Sideshow) labled the figure as has being sold out.

RAH Raiden has been sold out since the pre-order was becoming available. The only store that currently has Raiden in stock is Play-Asia. I wonder what sort of deal they had to cut with Medicom for that to happen.

My point is that, if the figures weren't limited, online stores shouldn't have such a hard time getting them restocked. There should be plenty of these figures to go around, just like Transformers at a Toys 'R Us store. But, we all know that that this isn't the case. Don't even get me started with the limited availability of the original RAH Snake from MGS 3. That figure is impossible to find, unless you're willing to dish out an excess of $400 on ebay.

But, all of that being said, I still question as to why Medicom never assigns an individual number to their figures.

yeah i think medicom actually limits their figures as their figures are harder to find as time goes by. hot toys seems like it is easing their "limits" as the TDK stuff you can find anywhere after it imports

Yeah, I think it's 500 too. Sideshow got some of the allocation a few weeks after the figure was released. The only place you can find it now, is on Ebay. Everywhere else is sold out.

i scored a zombie snake head for $20 about 2 years ago and still no custom yet.

Man is that possible?Its hard to get hold of the accessories and that type of gloved hands though,so you must use your imagination and try something else.Im in the same situation since i got the new head now,i wanted this one to go on my Olive Drab custom(with the horrible repainted head) and send off my painted head to Darren Carnall to fix,ill come up with something.

Ive given up painting,i dont have the talent and i dont enjoy it,but i simply love searching for parts to put together to a figure,this head i just bought will be used VERY well,ive wanted to do a wounded Big Boss for a while now,with bandages,blood and such,i think that will be my next one after ive finished my next MGS4 custom.

it depends on what im making and what body to use.I will use my V1 Snake for my custom,since i have a Olive Drab coming that will be displayed like it is.

LOL just my luck, I finally got my Raiden today and it has significant tearing. Not like any tearing we've ever seen. The feet look as if someone tried to rip em off or something (like disected it or something XD) and the hip part has glue seem rips. Hopefully Play-Asia will give me a new non damaged one if possible. I'll post some pics in a short while XD.
