If the trailer is good and it lures people in and lets be honest Tmnt is a big name. They better make the trailer pop if they wanna sell this thing. GOTG already won people over anyway.

Really? I'm a fan and I'll be the first to admit that TMNT is ****ing T-Ball compared to Marvel's Major League.

Major league? Nobody knows what GOTG is while tmnt was a phenomenon. Now if you say spidey or iron man than tmnt would have a tough time against them. Tmnt had years of of recognition, Does this mean the tmnt movie will be better? No but tmnt is still a very well known and very popular brand especially with this new show.

GotG's part of a cinematic monster that's set a box office record (not just for superhero movies), had a tie-in in Thor and is set to establish everything that'll happen in Phase 3, ending in Avengers 3. Add in a notable WWE wrestler and his built-in audience (even though he's getting boo'd at the moment), a feisty raccoon that actually looks like the character it's portraying and Vin Diesel as a ****ing talking tree and yeah, it makes Bay's retarded, oafish, *******, wannabe ghetto predator turtles look like amateur night in the T-ball league.

Now if TMNT actually looked like the first film did, and they were relatively faithful and recognizable, that'd be an entirely different story. Unfortunately, this looks more like a bad live-action Guyver ripoff.

Which is reason in and of itself, for a poor box office take. Also, this looks like it might be extremely dark, so I'm not sure about it being as kid friendly/inviting, as say, a talking raccoon.

I realize TMNT has a big name, but I can't see this competing well against the well-oiled Disney/Marvel machine. GotG will squash this like a bug.

This may put up a stronger fight than we think just on name recognition alone. But then again, I thought TMNT the animated movie would have done better too.
