The original incarnations of the Mandarin are pretty racist. but he could/should have been updated. Make him a genius contemporary of Tony's who happens to be asian. He got ahold of some Chitauri tech after the invasion. And there you go, he's a villain. I found it more racist to cast Ben Kingsley. It was the same bs Disney pulled with Prince of Persia, a film which had no actors that fit the bill. Gemma Arterton as a the Middle Eastern Princess? Jake Gyllenhall as the prince? Kingsley as his uncle? I am all for and encourage diverse casting. But this type of bs sucks. I like Fitchner. I think he is actually underrated as an actor. But he should not be playing Oroku Saki(sp?). Nothing about that makes sense.

Don't know about Krang, but given teh established "alien Technology" angle of the ooze, I'll be shocked if we don;t get Ultoms.

I remember reading somewhere that he was adopted (and probably given the name Oroku Saki) but as an adult he moved to America and changed his name to avoid any connection to the Saki name. At this point it's all just rumor along with the rest of them though.

Both. Takei would bring a built in audience which might put pressure in it not to **** things up too bad, and he's always awesome dealing with whatever, with his 100% committed work ethic!
