How can you say something like that prefaced only with "what I believe"? shouldn't you allow yourself a measure of certitude before passing such a sweeping judgment on a man?

My opinion. Yes he never should have had sleepovers with the kids but I don't believe he every really molested or harmed them. Those parents were more than happy to settle for a lot of $ real fast. As far as all the neverland toys and stuff I think that because he never really had a childhood he was trying to get it back as an adult. Its not any different than adults buying a PS3... he would just buy a farris wheel. Yeah he looked weird wearing a mask all over but why is that weird but Flavor Flav can wear a clock around his neck and its ok? I was never a big fan of his music but the amount of BS he took from the media about his personal life just got WAY out of hand.

And thats what I have been saying all along ............. then you have some that would say it further proves his guilt somehow? Saying that if he were to "keep it quiet" he was trying to avoid a trial.

How many of you would actually let your kids sleep over with a man that wasn't family? These people weren't exactly the best parents to begin with. I could easily see them just wanting money not justice. Personally, I could never say with certainty either way whether he did it or not. None of us know the whole story. The only people who do are those kids and him.

The facts are that he should not have slept with kids in the same bed, but there were hundreds of kids that stayed with Michael and most of them did not accuse him of anything, including Maculey Cullkin or whatever his name is.
Michale Jackson was a very strange man, even some of his close friends have said this, but I don't belive for one moment that he was a child molester. The parents should have not let there children sleep over without them and all the people around Michael should have told him it was wrong to do so.

Exactly! These parents knew what they were doing from the beginning imo. It's like any celebrity, he had a bullseye on his back and the being friendly with children thing gave these people an "in".

This thread is loaded with "I believe" comments in reference to his innocence. I believe if you're going to question Mooncat's comments, you should be questioning the judgement of everyone else here who have the exact same amount of certainty in their comments.

I agree with Mooncat, there was nothing normal, healthy, or acceptable about his obsession with children. I'd love to know how many of his supporters here actually have children, and an even better question would be.....How many would actually trust sending their kid's to MJ's house for an unsupervised sleepover.

Would i trust him with my kids? No idea, probably not, but i don't KNOW him. Just what the media tells us.


It's all about the music for me, if he did those things that's on him, and his maker. I try not to judge.

I wouldn't send my kids to MJ's house for a sleepover but I also wouldn't send them to anyones house who I didn't know. I think everyone can agree that the sleepovers probably were not the smartest thing to do but I think he really liked kids and wanted to get his childhood back through them which is why he had all the toys and rides and animals and things.
