I think it would be a hard argument to make that The Eagles were bigger than Elvis or The Beatles.

Another telling statistic is that Jackson had 13 #1 singles. Elvis had 21 and The Beatles had 27. (The Eagles had 5.)

and yeah Bamoon. This is a discussion board. Everything turns into a pissing match. :lol

Thriller really is about as perfect of an album as you can get... one of my favorites.

Although I never would have guessed "Bat out of Hell" would be one of the top selling albums of all time :lol

WTF does that even mean?

I remember as a kid thinking that album would be the ^^^^ when I saw the cover (my mom was buying the 33 of it) but I hated that damn thing, and had to hear her playing it all the time :lol

Funny though, as an adult I actually really enjoy it :lol

Over saturated media on MJ. News, tributes, it just goes on and on. He made some good music, had some good dance moves, but just like everyone he had some problems too. There are other issues more important that deserve attention.

But to call MJ a musical genius is ridiculous.

This made me laugh...
sorry but just in case you don't know...
Michael Jackson composed a lot of the music for Off the Wall, Thriller and Bad, as well as his later albums...
He had full demos recorded before Jones' involvment...
even Quincy Jones has said it...

Michael Jackson composed the bass-line for Billie Jean,
which even though it's simple it's one of the most memorable
bass-lines of all time...

Fixed that for you!

I agree, but that's the media...
they dedicated most of the time during the trial to slam him with their accusations and prejudice,
and now all of the sudden they are cashing in on his death... it makes me sick...

I gotta agree with that. Billy Jean does have an amazing bass line. :rock
