This would have made a great optional base for regular Phoenix. Beautiful statue although not sure about the mouth. I've been thinking of picking one up for a Mera conversion, but I've got a feeling SS may produce one. I do have a second character in mind that could also work though.

Why wouldn’t you just use Phoenix for the conversion? They both have red hair and the fire would look like water if it’s only surface painted and stripped to clear.

Christmas came early! UPS delivered Aspen, Gethsemoni, and The Little Mermaid today!



I was a little surprised that Aspen came in a plain shipping box with a sticker, Instead of the regular SS shipping box.




Anyway, will get some pictures up soon.

Looks like something they'd do when they reship a return... or maybe it arrived with the shipper on the pallet heavily damaged.

It was awhile back, but they sent my Captain Marvel PF in a plain brown box. It didn't even have a sticker on it and it kinda screwed me over later when I was forced to sell it.

Mines regular, EX number 76 or 79 I believe, that’s a UPS label from what it says on the side, UPS possibly damaged the shipper and put it in a new box.

Honestly yeah that makes sense to me. Someone in the aftermarket finally saves up, wants to buy authentic yet the shipper is this blank thing. ..that screams knockoff to me lads.

Nah. That’s people being stupid picky about stuff. Shippers are meant to ship statues and they get damaged. If it still has the art box, and the styrofoam saying Sideshow, etc I’m happy with it. Some people take this stuff way too seriously.

Wow. That’s ridiculous. I’ve bought a few statues without shipper. Or a replacement shipper. Don’t even think twice about it. Now if the art box and styrofoam are missing that’s a bigger deal.

Looks like some shenanigans went on here. Beside the plain shipper, this looks to have been opened and resealed. SS tapes the styrofoam at the seams, this one was also sealed around the whole package. Also, the SS seal was removed and taped back on. Waiting to hear back from SS.

Was the broken armor piece still in the box? If not then SS probably tried to pull a fast one, they’ve done this to me a few times, or UPS accidentally damaged it and tried to pull a fast one.

No, the broken piece was not in the box. Have not heard back from SS as of yet. However, they always done right by me when there was an issue.

FYI, my styrofoam box was taped up like yours. Mine didn't come in a plain shipper box, tho. It came in a SideShow shipper box as usual.

The SSC sticker was also taped to the box ...like they taped the styrofoam box again after putting on the SSC sticker. This was the first time my styrofoam box was taped like this ....but everything was perfect on my Aspen statue.

Mine was taped across the top across the two indents as well not just the seam, came in regular shipper no stickers.
