hey skooter hows the hatless mod coming?

It's at a standstill... I have the hair done but matching the color and finish of the forehead is gonna be tough. Hopefully I can catch up on work this week after Sandy and I can get that guy finished. Would love to get that guy done.

hope you get the time soon. was coming along well last i saw. and yeah it's such a great piece. maybe going oily could help with the color matching as the paintup that came on the sculpt might be hard to match exactly. this way you could at least fudge it for a while and still be able to display it as a more finished piece.

Yeah, I'm thinking due to that difficulty I'll end up doing an oily sculpt as opposed to my originally planned Baptism scene.

hey guys thought i'd post a shot of the oily guy. still working on the bash and been a bit derailed by the storm but looking forward to getting things going again.

WIP update. Will probably make it an oily version.

That looks great skooter! You matched the skin perfectly, or at least it seems so in this pic. You can oil him up but it looks like you have a great baptism scene right there! All he needs is a tie and watch chain.

Looking great my man put a few head shots up 👋

Thanks guys!

Yeah, luckily the skin is close... but there is still a slight line I can see, and it's bothering me :) Once I get the color right I'll get the remaining accessories. And start work on a Sunday...? Maybe...

I will continue to try and match it, but if I can't get it in a couple more attempts oil it is!

I'll post some headshots later when I get back home.

Here are some angles. The light on one of these photos really shows the difference in color, but there are some patches that match perfectly that I am gonna try and recreate, hopefully this weekend, and the crudeness of the border between the head and the hair.
