Kinda late here. But the topic about the lotto oily head sculpt, what's the point of having an oily sculpt with the quail outifit?

Still very cool Rainman is doing it but kinda pointless. Displayed with the clean outfit would look silly IMO.

If you take the jacket off the quail outfit, add a tie and cover the rest in oil coloring it'll look almost identical. He has on different pants that are darker in that scene but they're still inside his boots and if you put oil coloring on these pants they'll look darker anyways so it would easily work. Once that dark oil coloring goes down you're not going to be able to tell the differnce in the color of anything anyways.

I've started watching it again. It's been years since I last saw it I really did sell it short in my mind. Daniel is such a joy to watch and I've found myself really wanting this figure.

I'm thinking about buying an unpainted sculpt and bashing together his outfit from the scene where the rig catches fire. Absolutely classic moment But he doesn't wear his hat during that scene

I'm trying to get a painted sculpt but my DX which is paid for already is still in my cart. So when I put the sculpt in my cart, the total is coming up DX+head+shiping. What do I do? I already have a paid in full receipt from Paypal. Should I delete the DX from the cart? I don't think that messes up Rainman's records but I'm not sure

I'd think your good to just go ahead and delete it if you have already paid it keeps putting a painted dexter head which has been paid for and shipped into my cart! Everytime I go on rainmans site its back in the cart lol

I think I'm going to get Rocco to sculpt the hair for me off of the hatted sculpt. Keep the hat loose so that Plainview can hold it. I believe Rocco did some hair sculpting for some Hanouman sculpts for MistertoysNYC. The sculpt style is different but if he can follow the Rainman hair pattern it could work

I guess it depends on how bent on accuracy someone is. For me it's a lot to spend when only the vest, shirt and boots are the same in both scenes.

Im not sure I want more then one Plainview is my hang up. I really like the hat less head, and that's how I planned to display. I guess it would need to be one or the other. I think Im sticking with mr. clean.

Yea clean for me too. I'm going for a painted head in hopes that I'll be able to commish a propper charcoal suit(not from Rainman). Then I can rotate the hatless sculpt between both figs

If you're wondering if he'd just take on sculpting the hair alone for a single sculpt, probably not. He's a sculptor with tremendous skill so personally I'm asking in addition to some other works being discussed.
