That's great rainman ..., I'd luv that head boys goodluck to all going it ..

If I were to land the oily sculpt and Woff didn't, I would happily gift it to him. He deserves it.

Another awesome gesture Rainman :thud:

I can see the oily head only being included in the DX set because the customers are paying for the exclusivity of the sculpt, but then again, a third sculpt? :lol

So us who got screwed because they couldn't type the shipping info fast enough to complete their DX order get screwed again?

That would really blow.

I had to settle for the regular full set, but not having a chance at this either for that same reason would really be a bit much.

Yes, I know I'm a little bitter about this, but if there was an option to save shipping info on the site and click "ship to here again" or something, I wouldn't have missed out on the one that was in my cart the second it was available.

To only offer the special head to the 7-8 people who were lucky enough to type faster just seems like even more of a slap in the face.

I'm sure I'll get toasted for this post, but it's just how I feel (and I'm tired). It's not aimed at anyone here.

Wait maybe I'm misunderstanding. I thought that there are 2 EXTRA hatless oily sculpts in the lotto. That means a DX owner would walk with 3 different sculpts and a regular set owner would 2 different sculpts.

I don't think that it's a matter of 2 DX hatless sculpts will come oily instead of clean. What if the DX buyer doesn't want that kind of surprise?

Everybody had to compete with the same shipping process you did. You didn't get screwed at all you were just slower than the others. I am not sure why you feel you got screwed over.

I'm not saying the oily sculpt should go to the DX sets only, in fact quite the contrary. I can just understand why some would expect it to be handled that way.

It's the perils of being a new Rainman fan is all. I remember having the same checkout problems during the Fight Club era. Just the nature of the beast. You'll get better at it.

Wait a minute! You had the DX in your shopping cart? Why did you take it out? I thought once it was in someone's shopping cart that person has a few days to complete the order :dunno

Orrimarrko I can tell you right now you will not always get your way in this hobby. Sometimes you win sometimes you lose and other times you just figure out a way to write the rules yourself ;)

Only because I had one in the cart and was fine until choosing the shipping zone.

If I had missed out completely, then I'd have no beef. I just believe that once the info has been entered, then you should have an opportunity to complete the transaction. That's all.

I know, it sounds bitter. Not trying to offend anyone.

You're right. Life moves on.

I didn't take it out. It wouldn't let me complete the transaction. When I got to the final page I got a pop-up window that said (something like) Insufficient Stock.

It was my understanding that you could keep it in your cart (though I didn't delay to try and pay.) I think what you're able to do is complete the entire transaction but pay up to seven days later. That's the difference.

I have no delusions that I'll always get what I want, and sorry if I sound like a brat guys - not my intention. I had come to grips with just getting the full set, but when I read about the 'special headsculpts', I was bothered by the notion that they would only go to a couple who ordered DX sets.

Just seemed like rewarding those who had already been rewarded.

Sorry for ranting guys.

[On a sidenote - I just received my first Hot Toys figs over the last three days (Joker DX (1989), Superman EX (Reeves) and War Machine (IM2)). All I can say is wow. I'm going to love this hobby, but my wallet is going to hate me.]

I thinks there should be three oily sculpts one in the dx .., one in the fullest so people like myself get a shot and one in the head and clothes set that way we all get a crack at getting one:dunno

I wouldnt blame rainman for putting the 2 oiled sculpts only with the DX sets as a 3rd sculpt as not everbody would potentially want their unhatted sculpt like that. Would be nice tho if it was 1 for DX and 1 for everybody else i.e Fullset and outfit sets with or without sculpt. Will be interested to see what he decides to do.

1 for each set randomed dx, full and clothes is the way to go that way it's fair all round and would be a heck off a surprise when ur set arrived and you won .....but that's not my call it's up to the main man that is rainman

That's basically what I think too. If he does decide to extend the lotto to the clothes sets and not just keep it to the 30 full fig sets, then someone is really gonna hit a grand slam!
