i doubled back and picked up another sculpt, on top of the painted hs+outfit. too good to pass up.

Looking at the pictures of the sculpt it looks like you could easily remove the hat and add clay to create a full head of hair. You would just have to get the color right.

I wouldnt have need for 2 plainviews but I really wish the suit would have been the choice to begin with. The clear iconic image of Plainview from the film was the suit, but because some people make noise about it being a "man in suit" we got a more obscure outfit. Ive already got the H/C set on the way, but if we can get rainman or kato or iminime to get a suit going, Ill probably sell off my quail outfit

So friggin' excited for this now! Playing the soundtrack in anticipation of it's delivery :panic:

a scene like that would make perfect sense to me, as it would strengthen even more the bitter viciousness toward the son and the betrayal prompting it which Daniel feels when he casts him out in the end.
but that being said, i can also understand why it didnt make the final cut as i feel the relationship was strong and comes across well enough without it.

Exactly. There's a couple ways of viewing it. I personally think that we got the message of Plainview's feelings toward HW in the scene where he loses his hearing. This may have been a bit redundant and may be the reason why it didn't make the cut. But I also feel that it may have had a place in the movie. I'd still like to hear Thomas Anderson's reasoning.

It's definetly in the special features. Check it out

Definitely true. But we can still try to commission one as plan B I guess

If you end up getting rid of that quail outfit think of me! :1-1:

I was pretty sure you did. I thought that Woffard said he'd be in if it arose or anything D.P. for that matter but he hasn't chimed in yet.

I think soon we'll have a small (but big enough) group of interested dudes. The real question is who is the person for the job?

Kato, Rainman's tailor or Addblue.

I have updated the first post with a charcoal suit interest list. Maybe if we get enough names on there a quality tailor will take it on. Let me know if you want to be on it :)

Know its a little early to say, but what kind of price are we looking at Aaron. Would like to get on the list, but honestly not for a $500-600 suit. :(

Something along those lines are what I was hoping for too but we may loose a good amount of interest if it goes that direction.

I want everyone to get in and be able to get one but my personal preference would be from one of the heavy hitters. Maybe worst case if that pushes some people away, we can still get a small batch of 5 or so going :dunno

Lets hear what more people think

It really does depend on the tailor bud.

I understand that. No harm in finding out what the general level of interest is.
