His role is never big enough to say that he's ''phoning it in'', in a way that's all he can do in these films.

By not phoning it in, I was really referring to his desire to put himself in danger doing some of these ludicrous stunts. It was probably a poor way to phrase it. What he might lack in acting ability, he tries to make up for in physical dedication.

I don't care how well I was tethered on to a plane, I would have let the stuntman do it.

Damn good movie. A lot more Simon Pegg than I expected. It broke up the action with just the right amount of comic relief though. It was the best in the franchise in terms of the stunts, choreography and cinematography. Really beautiful shots. Like how everyone was praising Skyfall. I still prefer the first one in terms of plot just ever so slightly but it's also probably a lot of nostalgia. The ending was pretty bad ass. "Meet the IMF."

I'm glad Baldwin turned out to be a good guy and not syndicate, I'm looking forward to him in sequels. He was a great foil. Also, it was pretty funny having Renner and Rhames team up and show up in the middle of the car chase. They had great comedic chemistry arguing about how Luthor insisted on a 4x4.
