I do feel like you could look at each scene and anticipate the scene before and after, so you could put a lot of the movie together.

But this is PART 1... so maybe not all of this is in Part 1?

The bike stunt is likely the opening sequence, like Spy Who Loved Me.
So when the parachute opens, is it going to be the US flag lol?

Dead Reckoning Part 2 - opens with Hunt's younger years and first assignment as a cadet, played by Timothée Chalamet
No no Cruise wouldn’t allow that. It has to be Cruise himself, no makeup, no cg, he just contorts his face to look younger.

What an insane trailer. Looks every bit as great as McQuarrie’s previous outings in the franchise. Cast is huge. I felt like bringing Renner back for Part 2 or something could be really cool but it already feels like we have a lot of characters. I’m excited to see more from Vanessa Kirby here too, I thought she was great in limited screen time in Fallout.

How many of these is he willing to make? The mission isn’t so impossible if you do it 6 times.

The impossible is happening soon.

Why is there no excitement for the movie that will be the top boxoffice earner for 2023?

This is the one movie I AM looking forward to. Not Batman, not Indy... but Tom. My younger self would never have believed you.

I wouldn't use the words 'by far' because I think these films are of a pretty consistent high standard - with exception of MI:2.
And I haven't changed my mind. MI:2 is just finishing on telly, yeah, easily the weakest of the films. It departed far too much in style from the first movie. A lot of really cringe stuff in fact. Painfully self-conscious in its attempt to be hip and cool, even down to Cruise's hair and costuming throughout. Totally comes off as a parody of sorts with the slow-mo and silly zooming shots.

Couldn't agree more. Something I just hate about that movie. Does it have slo-mo shots of Tom walking while doves clear the frame? It should.

I do like Thandie though. A lot!

Loved TGM but I never got behind the MI movies just not my thing. I don’t hate them nothing like that.

I’ll take old Indy over MI any day of the week!

Sorry-Gar lol

But MI movies have basically replaced the Bondian type spy action-adventure movie.

I get that Tom is sort of an automaton, a Stepford 'Husband' that never ages, never has *** and never tires of running, but still... You have to give the man props; and soon because he's going to die on a movie set.
