I think it's pretty close...
Plus the teaser image of it (or so we think it is..
) has it as a neckless head, so it should work on a muscle body.

Its close, but Johnny's hair is more spikey than Franco's is there. But its the best thing anyone has come up with so far!

Wesker is a good, but pricey choice. But again, the hair is a bit too long. If you could cast his head and resculpt the hair, then you might have something there.

Well, now that I am done with all of my immediate orders (well, I am making 2 customs for someone... but other than that) I can now move on to some little odds and ends & other characters.
First the MK2 Ninja shin guards... I went ahead and made one based on the lo-res images I could find... I was happy with it... then I found some images of the shinguards... and I was WAY off.
Looks like I'll be re-sculpting them.
Next up, I plan on finishing off a Raiden. I am using the Stormshadow as a starting point, and I will be making his long sleeved shirt, vest, wrist guards & shin guards and of course his hat. I plan on using the same hood as on the ninjas.
After that, I will also be making a Klassic Jade.
I will still be keeping my eyes open for the right green for Reptile. Seeing as Buttmunch is the only one who is really interest in him, I may as for his help finding the right green if he wants one. seniram6 is MIA and not responding to any correspondence.
As far as other MK characters... who knows. We have talked a little about johnny cage here in the forum, but honestly, I really don't have interest in owning a JC. So I may just make one if someone is interested. I still want to do a Shao Kahn, MK9 Ermac and Sub Zero... but those are WAY off, as I have others that come first...
Overall, this has been a great experience making customs for people. I love the fact that I am making other MK fans out there happy to get their own figures. I have learned a few lessons though, as A LOT of people who originally expressed interest either had money issues, lost interest, or failed to respond to my messages. It has made me think twice about making "runs" of customs in the future. Unless there are a good amount of people who are genuinely interested in something, I may just be making 1-offs from here on out. We'll see... I may end up changing my mind
Wow... that was long winded! haha. I'm changing this forum title to "MK Characters" as we are now moving beyond just the ninjas.
To anyone out there that may have interest in either Scorpion or Sub Zero, contact me. I have 1 of each that are 50% complete. If I don't end up selling these on the forum, I may go ahead and complete them and sell them on evil bay.

simply awewsome dude!!,...buttmunch: the episode was ill, he crash lands on earth after wat looks like a beating and of all places its a mental assylum!!,awesoem, then he gets pumped full of drugs so he is docile, they think he's nuts and in order for him to escape he has to die so he can b reborn from heaven..he the thunder god after all, the whole tazer thing was cool as in..electricty gives him power but as it's tazers the current isnt strong enuff so proberly is only temporary....ok episode explained,lol,lol oh and the scorpion and sub zero!!! AWESOME!! im soo addicted to this version of MK!!..can't wait to see your wrk bro!! keep em commin!! also where the heck u get the kunochi knives???, i so gotta start my mkline nw!! will b pickin yo brain twik25!!!

Hey guys, just wanted to give an update on the shin guards. Here you can see my original one on the left, and the new one I just finished on the right. I painted it a darker gray so I could see the little imperfections, so now I have some sanding/shaping to do.
It is made of 2 pieces. My plan is the drill a hole in the top and bottom pieces to allow for some thick thread to hold them together. Then I will put a dab of super glue on top and bottom of the thread to give them a rivet look. This will also be the first piece I will try my hand at molding and casting! I figured the two pieces are pretty simple, so a 1 piece mold should work.

BM - thanks! I am hoping to get this one completed early this week, then try the whole casting thing next weekend!
What did you think of the hats? The colors are a little off, and I am still perfecting the shape (if you didn't notice, they are different diameters and heights).

The hats are amazing! I can't decide which one I like better (the smaller or bigger one). The bigger one's coloring is much better, but I'm leaning toward's the smaller's size.
