Don't believe that line. The Tribe, aka Dolan, would've never kept these two because, in his opinion, they wanted too much money. Dolan sits back and ^^^^^es that the fans won't show up at the games when he raises the ticket prices then fields mostly minor league players. He says he doesn't have enough money to get any players and it's all the fans fault. Dolan told Lee that if there was a better fan turn out, he would've kept him, which is a big ass lie. But.....Lee bought into that and started talking ^^^^ about the fans. I lost all respect for him after that.
Also, Dolan has stated more than once that he would never give a starting pitcher more than a two year contract. Too many pitchers will go where they can get a longer one.
