Some of the whining has gotten ridiculous. I don't give a **** about stupid prison and maid outfits or maskless sculpts. This suit and look is where it's at.

I'm really surprised with how well this figure turned out. It seems damn near definitive as far as a TDKR Catwoman goes.

But nah, let's be obnoxious and complain on facebook. I really don't understand it, it's confusing and sort of frustrating. The body looks correct, she has all the stuff she needs, the likeness is damn good, she can ride the Batpod and her goggles go up and down.

We all wanted a Catwoman, we got one, a great one, but nope, still not enough. I can see wanting Bank Robber Jokers, Cop Jokers, Mob Jokers, 50 million different Iron Mans, all the little variations of Batman, all that "action figure" variation stuff, but different looks and dresses for Selina Kyle? I just don't understand it. The call for a "DX" is just as ridiculous.


I was pretty vocal against the doll hair but the outcome in these specs/pics looks really well done. Like I said, the only complaint I could see would be "why don't the goggles light up" (even though it'd be hard for Hot Toys to include), other than that, this seems perfect.

I feel this way about most of HT releases. And I have never understood all the complaining that comes with every release. Its obnoxious and really drags this hobby down. Collecting is fun. Dealing with collectors, not so fun.

It's the only issue I have with this tremendous looking figure.

So you're mad at the facebook posters and coming here to take out your frustration on those with different opinions than you? Calling those who disagree with you "OCD nut bags," "obsessed," and "insane" doesn't make your point stronger, it weakens your argument.

Some of us feel that with the ever rising price of Hot Toys figures, we should get more than just a figure, stand, one accessory and a few extra hands. We didn't set the bar high, Hot Toys did. Just look at the original DX Joker and the crazy amount of accessories he comes with. Or even Bank Robber Joker who isn't a DX.

I rarely complain on this site about Hot Toys, as I'm very happy with most of their Batman offerings. But I don't see anything wrong with voicing my disappointment when that's what I honestly feel when I look at this figure. You might think it's perfect, but I disagree.

There's also the fact that the script has her as "Catwoman".

This figure is Catwoman, the character is Catwoman. Just because she's never named doesn't mean she's not Catwoman.

Well then just say "it's too expensive." That's really the issue. Demanding superfluous accessories is NOT going to give you more bang for your buck. It'll just raise the price of a $180 figure to $200. That's all.

Finally got a chance to see the new pics.
Another hit from Hot Toys. Thank goodness this one turned out better than expected.
As already been mentioned, the only flaw I see is the neck but that is easily remedied by posing or having her hair cover it.
Everything else looks magnificent.

Hope she goes for PO tonight.

I don't find accessories superfluous at all. For $180 or $190 there should be more bang for the buck rather than a barebones release with a so/so likeness.

Yeah but the simple fact is there isn't more bang for the buck. They charge what they charge and the figures will sell out and that's just how it is. Demanding more accessories (especially the non-essential non-screen accurate variety) would simply prompt them to raise the price even further.

People are complaining about the accessories. What more should she come with? That silly "clean slate" thing? Someone a ways back even suggested the Wayne pearls. . Seems to be a pretty solid release to me. The funny thing is that all the whining about the prices and those same people will turnaround and buy it.

Yeah, he definitely needs a DX release or two. Why aren't his tubes removable from the mask? If Catwoman's mask should come off, why not his tubing too?

Hot Toys prices them arbitrarily.

There's no such thing as "value" with these figures any more. None of them are fairly priced whether the character is Catwoman or the Hulk (who are essentially barebones to begin with) or characters that are armed to the teeth with accessories like Batman and Iron Man. Just look at Wolverine.

I always go back to the T-1000. He was basically a one and done, just like this Catwoman. He had everything a collector of Terminator could want, essentially a "DX". Sure he didn't have every type of head, or limbs, or whatever but what was important was all there. He ended up being what? $160? $170? He had the best value out of all these modern releases and was the last one.

This Catwoman (pricing aside, we don't know what she cost) is the same way. She has everything Catwoman had in the film.

Throwing in an extra head or necklace that most people are just going to keep in the box is ludicrous. Knowing Hot Toys, they'd raise the price for a second headsculpt alone.


Catwoman can AFFORD to be a barebones figure, because she is. I don't see how this is even an argument. Even since this figure's conception with the teaser and at the show did I think, "oh, she should come with a Anne Hathaway head or Selina Kyle accessories".

She is $189, I think that's a perfect price. I can't
Think of anything else I would want her to come with.

Why do people need to complain about the collectors in every single thread? I find that significantly more annoying than any other trend of things that happen on this board. If "dealing with the collectors" ruins the fun in the hobby, then why participate in the forums? I don't understand. You don't need the forums to stay up to date with releases and reading other opinions, regardless of if they are positive or negative, shouldn't heavily impact your decisions. People whine about others freely saying their negative opinions all the time, but what do you want us to do? Just blindly fill this thread with praise that contributes no real lasting discussion? Constantly speculate about the prices instead of just waiting for the announcement patiently? It makes sense to fuel discussions with praise and impressions once we actually have the figure, but before that there's only so much to say yet people, every single ____ing time, act all bewildered or hostile because so many of us are critiquing the product. The ignorance is amazing.

No one here is calling this figure complete gutter trash or something. We just point out flaws as we see them to be, point out potential improvements, and see how others think about it. Every time though we have to get the big tough guys, like Fabio here, shutting everyone down every page because they are trying to actually make use out of the point of forums: discussions.
