What would your suggestions be for hiding the details of the generic plastic body under a skin-tight suit?

My own would be the creation of a new custom body with less plastic and smaller parts that would then take a pliable cover to better simulate the cheeks. Same type of setup they've used for upper bodies. However, this will definitely impact articulation and complicate the assembly. It's also another possible point of failure in manufacturing or later down the road if that pliable material disintegrates (silicone would be a good choice to prevent that).

I think your suggestions are good pixlepiper, and to expand on that, without sounding too creepy, one of the problem with the HT female pelvises from the back is that the cheeks and crevice between them are too flat and there is not a deep enough groove between the buttocks cheeks. i.e they don't have *** cracks. To do this effectively you are right that the mechanics of the joints need to be smaller which I think can be achieved without affecting articulation. Silicone/pliable plastic would also help with the flexibility. They could use this system for men too.

For men it matters less, but for women in skin tight outfits it detracts from the realism.

Yes it does, Anne is pretty but not gorgeous. She has a unique face IMHO and I think HT's for what's it's worth captured the likeness pretty well.

I love the subtle brown highlights in the hair..Nice touch HT's

This is the best I've seen her look mask-less yet. Looks good to me!

It's amazing that from some angles I think no one would identify the sculpt as Hathaway, and then from some others, the resemblance is uncanny. I haven't tried to figure out exactly what's missing, but overall it's that "mousyness" I mentioned before which gives Hathaway distinction. It's just barely there in the sculpt.

The figure is going to look great in my bat cave/bunker with enough shadow detail to hopefully make the likeness even more convincing.

No one has mentioned another production fact about these things... They're all hand-painted, by multiple different painters, so while they have a standard to meet, there's going to be variation from copy to copy. Add to that the different photographic skills and techniques of all the image posters and you are going to see things in one image you don't in another.

I didn't think it came out creepy - it was clear we're talking mechanics here.

Now if you want creepy... What would Hot Toys call this new process? "Deep-V" ? Maybe they could make it somewhat like PERS so you can adjust the cheeks for better posing.

The face seems expressionless. I see three lines connecting face - head and neck, not so many? does not detract from realism?

Yes, yes and yes. But that's OK and expected.

Seems like no one else mentioned that the pattern on the suit has also changed slightly from the proto. I'm quite confident the bumps on the production suit are a tiny bit bigger.

I'm not bothered by the expression in this case since she was meant to wear a heavy mask over the eyes like the film.

She doesn't have to have an intense look IMO

Mask off..sure it can be better, but I'm really pleased with the result.

This reminds me of those figures that used to come out where they had to hide the likenesses with paint so they wouldn't get sued. The repaint (if it isn't just PS) shows a good sculpt underneath but since I don't have that talent, it'd look like one of those where you have to squint to place her out of the box.

Overall it's a nice representation of the character, just not of the actress if that makes sense.

There are quite a few photos on Facebook of people breaking the mask when trying to put it on so I'm interested to see if that is a widespread problem here.

such a long wait for this thing & I must say I am terribly disappointed, sorry HT but this is a big FAIL

Hmm...soft sculpt, but the thing that honestly bothers me the most and so far it seems i've been the only one is the body and the suit, the cut of it doesn't fit the body they used now compared to the proto, might have to see about changing the body all together, or, just not bother with this one.

I NEED EM CURVES!

I really liked the sneak peak photos we got on Sunday and I continue to dig this figure based on the new blogger photos. I would say that the prototype to production changes are very similar to many other recent figures including Avengers BW, a figure which gets a lot of praise. I would guess that Selina shares the BW body, the proportions of that body being much closer to AH than to SJ. I'm glad to have an EX on order with SS as well as a backup preorder from BBTS - one for the pod in a display case with goggles down, and another for the Detolf.

I see anne in the sculpt from any angle as others have said some angles abit better than others but i wont be displaying her maskless anyway. I cant wait to get her she starts her journey tommorow and should be with me this time next week.
