Got her last night. I'm loving the unmasked portrait - looks exactly like Hathaway. The goggles threw me for a bit until I read the instructions and realized you have to rotate the lenses to get the cat-ear look.

But I'm very pleased with her overall. Now bring on Michelle and Julie!

Beautiful as always Vodoun! :clap Glad you like to show the hair over the shoulders look as well :bow

:clap

Awesome shots Vodoun !

Mine arrives Monday , is reinforcing the goggles with a little Super Glue before applying a good idea against breakage. I call Super Glue my action figure survival kit. I never keep home without it !

no need to undo the back at all.

: D

I actually recommend super gluing the back closed. There is absolutely no reason to open it because it is incredibly hard to fasten around her head once opened. Plus, opening it seems to stretch the material slightly and it constantly comes unclasped as you slide the mask over her head. This is why my mask broke. I slid it over head slowly, the mask suddenly unclasped and the mask stretched SLIGHTLY larger than it was suppose resulting in an arm breaking off from the goggle. I can't stress how little force did this damage.

Do you mean CA when you say "super glue?" I'd think it would just make an ugly mess, white residue and just as brittle as before any glue application.

We've probably read the best advice already, which in summary, is "the only way to win, is not to play."

So I'm assuming that you managed with no casualties?

Do you guys think the mask could be made more durable if other materials were used? What about a diecast mask?

Maybe we could get a poll going on how many people broke their masks like the 89 batmobile damage thread.

For anyone looking to protect/cover Catwoman on the Batpod or the pod in general I used the 30 Gallon tank from Petsmart...

Genius! :lecture

the apparatus arrives assembled and fastened in the back with the goggles down.

i did all the flipping and opening first and then just slipped it over her head. helps to get a good grip on the hair and do a lot of futzing once it's on (but don't touch it from the top ~ just the sides).

no need to undo the back at all.

: D

Based on my first experience, I would say this is spot on.

If you get the mask over the face first, and then push down the back over the hair, you are not likely to damage the face on the paint. Especially if you're only doing it once.

Her behind is not as bad as people think. It's all about how you position her body. :lecture

Here's some examples with just some futzing of the suit and angling her body is still very feminine and curvy looking.

Now I know these aren't the quality of Maglor's, Skytoast, Voudoun, etc pics, but bare with me.

For anyone looking to protect/cover Catwoman on the Batpod or the pod in general I used the 30 Gallon tank from Petsmart. Its 30/13/13. I lit it with some spare strip dioders.

I didn't want to have mine out as the rest of my stuff is in Detolfs and I think this works pretty well.

Just picked up the same tank at Petsmart for $35 total. Thanks for reminding me. I originally wanted to use our old hamster tank, but I underestimated just how long the BatPod is. This tank is perfect. For those that are interested, here's a link:

Petsmart

*It was actually another brand and wasn't made by Top Fin, but with the info from that page, they were able to find the tank.

Long time lurker; first time poster. Just a quick snap with my phone.

I managed to get her mask on and rotate her goggles with out breaking anything. It was very touch and go! Ended up sliding it over her head. Good tip. Also the tips re. the water and hair gel were very helpful.

Loving everyone's pics. Very inspirational.

I'm very happy with the figure. My only nit so far is how the costume tends to fall into the shoulder sockets when you move her arms. Looks effed up. Other than that, she's great. I'll get a proper camera out this weekend for more photos.
