If I had one nit to pick it would be that he doesn't come with his black shirt. I had to get one from a SSC figure. But I think the rubber body looks great even if it isn't perfectly screen accurate.

Agreed...Any ideas where to get one? I think it is a big miss on the figure...certainly, it would help draw attention away from some of the inaccuracies...

Probably your best bet would be to scan Ebay and find a cheap loose HB. Seems like a lot of people are dumping the SSC now that the HT is on the way.

Be warned about adding a black shirt. Jack Krauser came with one and it stained his muscle body. I imagine it would do the same to HB over time.

why would you want to cover up his nipples? :lol

Because I won't be able to keep my hands off him otherwise! :naughty

Thanks for the heads up, Buttmunch. Maybe I'll hold onto the shirt as a last resort in case the rubber body doesn't hold up or his nipples fall off. And by "fall off" I mean "are bitten off by me."

you guys disappoint me. of course the black shirt will be made, just not on this hellboy. if there's one thing certain about hottoys, is that they always leave out certain assesories with their initial figure. otherwise, how are they going to sell their second?

the black shirt version will be out. i'll let you guys pinch my nipples if i'm wrong.

let's see... there are these still:

- horned head version(one scene in movie 2)
- the glasses used to spot trolls
- sword
- beer cans
- bandage with spear tip
- that polisher he used to shave his horn with
- cats
- i'm sure i forgot a few more items

see, enough excuses for at least 2 more hellboy figures. you think hottoys is going to stop with one version? given their track records? hmmm...

If you use a custom shirt you could always just fold a piece of paper inside the shirt to protect the body

That's a good point, too. In fact I could line the entire inside. I might have to cut the shirt to get it on him anyway if the RHOD forearm isn't removeable. The Sideshow shirt is tailored like a normal shirt - no extra-wide sleeve.

That is true, I imagine they will want to get some mileage out of the body they've made for HB. I would say at least one variant is likely... but this one looks pretty sweet so it should cover my HB 1/6 needs.

yet at the same time, HT have a tendency to out do themselves with version 2 of their figures. Joker, BB batman, jack sparrow come to mind. The V2 almost always look better than V1. I wonder if this will be the case for HB as well? (not that this HB is not good looking or anything, just wondering)

I imagine a 2.0 would have an angry expression, probably battle damaged. I'm down for whatever. Hellboy is my favorite. Bring it on.
It was an unpopular opinion, but I saved a lot of money by not being a Dark Knight fan. :)

I would think a cigar might be part of a V2. Luckily this figure is pretty complete as far as accessories go. So even if there is a shirted V2, nothing screams must-have like the BR Joker or Cannibal Jack.

i'm a huge dark knight fan, and all i have is BR joker. the rest of the line up fall way short in comparison.

I mainly got the BR so I could swap out the head on the V1 Joker. Aside from the weak headsculpt the V1 is a great figure, and once you place that BR sculpt on it you are golden.

But, on the positive side having the BR version for display has turned out to be a great figure as well.

BR and cannibal only became must-haves after we saw how good the head sculpts are. if the sculpt could be improved upon this 1st hellboy, then i sense another must-have.

Very true... although with the V1 Joker it was pretty apparent from the get-go that the sculpt was weak. Jack wasn't really an issue until he shipped and looked too dark.

At this point (at least to me) Hellboy's sculpt is very strong... so I'm not as concerned about him being a problem like I was with the Joker. Actually a big factor in buying the original Joker was I had a custom head on order from Les, I would have never paid for the V1 if I would have been permanently stuck with that head.

Hellboy doesn't come with a cigar does he? I'll have to get one if not. I don't see it listed.
