Well just to let you know Hellboy's audience is very very small in places like Asia. Not everyone loves Hellboy as much as you and would be willing to spend $450+ on 3 versions of Hot Toys Hellboys. You are kidding yourself if you think the audience for Hellboy figures is the same as Batman and Joker figures.

That is probably true, but because Hot Toys base it's production run on pre-orders it is unlikely they will loose out on producing these Hellboy figures.If there isn't that much interest they will cut their losses and not make more figures.

I live in Taiwan as a matter of fact. So what if I am comparing Hellboy to Batman now? The fact remains that Hellboy is not as popular worldwide compared with Terminators, Robocop, Batman, Ironman, etc.

Oh and your local dealer's word is not equal to HB figures selling like hot cakes.

you were comparing hboy to robo and termie because you used them as an excuse to justify hottoys not building better body type. dragging batman in does nothing to further state your point.

and when it comes to merchandizing, hboy is every bit as popular as termie and robo. i dont need to check with local dealers to know that. there are collectors communities here.

maybe taiwanesse just dont like big red demon be made toys. nothing wrong with that. they dont like singers who can sing, nor musicians who can make great music either. more power to your country for setting the standard high.

There is nothing to defend or attack for here. We are lucky enough that Hot Toys is making these. It's a double edged sword. We get the, arguably, best figure maker to make these, yet we are locked into these being the only renditions that are likely to be made. It doesn't matter if it's up to scratch or not. The only choice we have is to buy or not to buy. Our reasons are our own, yet we are able to vocalise the for and against in an effort to make our decision. Let's not hit below the belt in the process.

I just noticed that they've re-listed more HB figures and the releasedate has been changed to "RELEASE DATE: postponed to the early of APRIL ."
I was hoping they would ship this week but I don't actually have a lot of experience buying directly from HK sellers.

Figure looks great, I agree the body could be thicker... but I have the T-Rex Apexplorer figure and it has very little poseability. My guess is going with a thinner body actually would lead to a better overall figure. And aesthetically the change doesn't bother me.

Honestly I would rarely display him w/o the coat... its really too cool to not use.

If I had one nit to pick it would be that he doesn't come with his black shirt. I had to get one from a SSC figure. But I think the rubber body looks great even if it isn't perfectly screen accurate.
