LOL it was actually never picked up as a series, what ever channel it's on is making this a one time tv special for halloween.

Since I first heard about this, I hated it. I hated the idea of it, I hated the casting, I hated the pictures, I hated the direction; I hated it. Tonight, I watched it. It was going to be confirmation of my doubts, but it wasn't. It was actually pretty good, and I enjoyed it. That being said, it's still not my Munsters. It works well as its own thing, but Fred Gwynne, And the rest of the originals are the ones who will forever remain engrained in my consciousness.

I felt/feel the same way. It was OK. Not the classic the original was, but it had potential. I can't help but think they really wanted to test the waters a bit with this airing to see if the high price tag might have been worth it. You know, to see if people liked it enough for it to have worked

I really wish WE could vote on what pilots get picked up during the summer. We'd probably end up with much better TV then.

I caught it on Hulu Plus last night, so, if you have that, you can check it out, or if you just use regular Hulu, it's probably on there, too.

Agreed; it'd certainly be a welcome thing if, come Pilot season, they just threw them all at us, and let us decide what stays and what goes.

It wasn't as bad as I was expecting. They should've just centered a show around Eddie Izzard. He was great! I think the weakest part was Jerry O’Connell as Herman. They shouldn't have left him so normal looking. One of the great things about the original was everyones reactions when they saw a 7' tall Frankenstein Monster. I did enjoy him falling off the roof when his heart stopped.

I enjoyed this a lot. I liked that they made it a bit more twisted with everyone mocking Marilyn, saying they don't love her as much, etc. I'm not sure I was down with the Grandpa creature, they showed it a bit too much. But I did love how they did Spot.

I'm betting NBC got cold feet with making this a series realizing to maintain this level of CG it was going to be hella expensive.

The spiders making Lily's dress was pretty cool. And I agree about Grandpa's transformation.

I liked it more than I expected. I had seen some bad reviews and was expecting way worse than what I watched. I wish a few things were different and the Grandpa creature was a little weird but I would watch more.
