If you mean the chest armor, it connects in the back, just under the armpits on either side. They're glued down, so, some prying is needed. Just remove one of them, not both.

Yeah, armor. And are you referring to the elastic pieces?

This is the piece you need to part in order to get the chest off (except he added the button snap)

I would dab the skewer into the liquid nails, and just start applying or painting it on. Make sure to only get a little dot and work with that. I started from inside the eye and moved towards the outside. It only took me about 15 mins to do it and get it the way I wanted it. The stuff dried within an hour, I painted it and that's it.

If you have any other questions, PM me.

Still not fully understanding this. HOw does putting glue on the eyelid make it smaller? Is the glue that thick that it works like putty?
Anyway, it looks good. :)

It's funny, the DX02 had the same googly eye problem and only one person, that I know of, did a suint mod to the eyes. With the DX12 people are doing it left and right.

Im obviously in the minority, but in hand, I never saw googly eyes on any DX figure except for MJ. For this one, I just felt like doing it b/c I wanted the squint not b/c the eyes looked big. Just like I never fixed the neck or anything like that on the DX02 b/c I was happy with how it was. The DX12 however had things I saw needed to be fixed like the chest, gauntlets etc. so I fixed them. If I dont see it, I doesn't need it :)

Well I finally grew a pair and decided on doing the painted eye, glove & gauntlet mod. Took me a while but I'm finally done!

I'm skipping the glove mod as I want to keep him true to TDK. Anybody know if the Medicom gauntlets work better in terms of proportion over the DX issued ones?

I usually don't have any problem doing mods to my figures, even major ones, but I don't think I can do the squint mod.

I'm actually the exact opposite :lol (at least with Hot Toys). I never minded tearing apart my Sideshow figures but messing with HT always is a little scary to me :lol

It's not normal glue like you are thinking of. It dries into hard clay so to speak. It's kinda like caulk. I applied it when it was in a cream form and left it to dry. It hardened like clay and then I painted black onto it.
Simple.

I have a pic up a few pages back on where I applied the glue. I put it on top on the eyelid but also made it overhang below to make the eye hole smaller hence the squint.

Squint mod
- reshape the eye with heat/cold technique
- no sculpt require, just time and patent

did this mod on the DX02, will give it a shot on the DX12 soon

Very interested in the no sculpt method! But Tony, do you think you can take a close up pic of the eyes? It's hard to get a good look at them with the shadows in play.
